Have you received the SIM student package? It should contain a lonpac insurance certificate, that is the same as receiving the email for it. :) Don't have to fret too much over that lonpac email, since you've already gotten your SIM student account.

erm so as long as i have the sim email everything is going well? sho long no news liao getting jittery.

the announcement in my student portal got this:
Enrolment Talk and Freshman Orientation for Full-Time BSc New Students (BBF) in July 2012

Date : 9 July 2012 (Monday)
Venue : Blk A, LT 1-17 (Level 1), SIM Headquarters

so i need wait until 9 july? before then i won't receive any letters or such?

their enrolment damn confusing :(:(

Oh so you've received your SIM student account, but not your SIM student package? If so, it means you've been offered a place in SIM but you've not officially accepted their offer, since you've not submitted the PEI student contract and student card form, which come along in the SIM student package. It should reach you before July, but I would suggest you to call them up to rush them abit? :)

After the submission of your PEI student contract and student card form, you are expected to wait for at least 8 weeks, before receiving a UOL package through your SIM email. Don't worry, you're not the only one confuse. :) And you are advised to make any payment after your enrolment talk, 9/7.

that one i submitted veri long ago le :(

Since they mentioned AT LEAST 8 weeks (might take more than 2 months), you should wait for it patiently? Unless you submitted in April, then perhaps you may want to email SIM support team for enquiry. :) I also have not received the UOL package, but I submitted my documents on 4/6.

Ok. :) Maybe the UOL side plans to accumulate and mass email the UOL package in batches to SIM students. Hope all goes well for everybody.

why is it that different courses have different dates for enrollment talk and orientation day? i thought uol should be the same?

Maybe too many students and therefore they separate. I also thought the same for all courses but then judging from what they say here, it is different for some courses.

Wah, this means that u drive and u are rich ah. Good life sia.

LOL give it a rest guys! I'm taking UOL accounting and finance as a 2nd degree with a view of doing a masters and joining the MOE teaching service one day (so you can roughly guess my age) and I drive solely because I need a personal transport in the course of running my own education business. My comment on the crowdness of the SIM carpark is just that... A comment. Don't read too much into it. =)

After a while, you all will realize that driving does not automatically make one rich neither does taking public transport make one poor. To be honest, given a choice, I'll rather give the car up... Its a financial black hole and driving is quite exhausting in our lousy traffic. However, I don't have much of a choice in that matter, as in the business world, time is money. =/
