Hey, anyone done econs tut 2.1 on budget line?? For qns 1, is it that the budget line shift towards the middle of x axis between 0 and Px? It is because of price of x varies.

If I am not wrong, budget line do not shift. It Just become less steep. Because income never change, budget line wont shift.

Oh ok, i mean the line at the x axis there shift a bit either towards the left or right, like u say become steeper or not steeper, but the whole budget line won't shift ah.

No it won't, because the income no change. If income change Then the whole line will shift. Because more income you Can buy more of x and y.

Anyone done qns 3 on rationality?? I have drawn out the graph but then i not sure whether is the consumer rational?? From the graph, i can see that point A is at a point where the consumer is behaving rationally because it is at utility maximization and at the initial budget line. However, at point B, it is at the new budget line but then the point is also below the initial budget line. Thus, i can't determine whether the consumer behaviour is rational. Need help.
