Anyone done qns 3 on rationality?? I have drawn out the graph but then i not sure whether is the consumer rational?? From the graph, i can see that point A is at a point where the consumer is behaving rationally because it is at utility maximization and at the initial budget line. However, at point B, it is at the new budget line but then the point is also below the initial budget line. Thus, i can't determine whether the consumer behaviour is rational. Need help.

my lecturer teach the diagram with some explanation written down budden when she send the pdf for her questions, it seems damn long compared to what i have copied in class.
Yea, u will need to explain it thoroughly ah. I think that would be the model answer that the examiner wanted to see so that u will be able to obtain the marks.

Lol... your graph wrong le. My point b is higher than point a. And answer is rational. Because b is not affordable Today but affordable tml. Where else a is affortable both Today and tml. Hence individual prefer b instead of a. As he could not buy b Today but tml when b is affordable he buy b. Thus he is rational.Anyone done qns 3 on rationality??
