Have some burning questions lol, hope you guys can help.

How is the honors class system differentiated? '1st - Nil'?

Does the your choice of the further modules affect your degree in any manner?

Lets say, I choose all the 'humanes based' modules because I am more 'writing inclined'?

Any impact on the overall degree?

and as long as u are in that degree course, u are in it alr. there are core modules which u must take. and there are electives too. so u might choose those qualitative modules.

note that u have to choose from certain groups. ur course outline shld have some info regarding that.

Meant to ask how do the exams determine your honors? Coz if I am not wrong take 12 exams right? So how many must you score very well for a first class? 2nd class etc.

if u want a 1st class, u have to secure 5 1st class grades. note that it's further units. so 5 1st class further units make a first class. 2nd upper have to get 5 2nd upper grades. so on.

1st class grade: 70
2nd upper: 60
2nd lower: 50
3rd class: 40
pass: 34

there's also a point system. overall 590 for 1st class iirc. i cant rmb the points for the various honours.

590 means all ur modules add up must have 590 points. note that 2 foundation units make up 1 further unit. u have to calculate accordingly.

I'm a a hopeful student whom alr applied for UOL business. My gpa is crazily bad at 2.59 is it possible for me t get in? Because a friend of mine said someone got in w 2.2 which i'm not sure if it's true.

Does anyone know the lowest gpa which gained entry t UOL business last year?

And should i apply RMIT just in case?

Lol I applied E&M on 13 Mar with 2 H2s = B,C and 4H1s= A,B,B,B

2 foundation make up 1 of the contributing units(towards hons). Say POA and IBM, u got to add the 2 marks together than /2 to get your contributing unit score.

8.1
Further units normally carry more weight than Foundation units. Marks for Further units are counted
individually and in some cases as an average, depending on the number of Foundation units taken and the
number of exemptions granted. Foundation units count for up to two marks only.

A student who is eligible for the award of a degree through the Standard Route having attempted 12 full
units and passed in at least 10 full units or the equivalent will be classified according to the classification
scheme (given in 8.4 below) on the basis of nine marks, and, where appropriate, the aggregate of those
nine marks.

The minimum requirements for the classification scheme, based on the nine marks used for classification,
are as follows.
First Class Honours – awarded to students who, of the nine marks being used for classification, have
either five first class marks OR four first class marks and an aggregate of 590.
Upper Second Class Honours – awarded to students who, of the nine marks being used for
classification, have either five upper second class marks OR four upper second class marks and an
aggregate of 515.
Lower Second Class Honours – awarded to students who, of the nine marks being used for
classification, have either five lower second class marks OR four lower second class marks and an
aggregate of 440.
Third Class Honours – awarded to students who, of the nine marks being used for classification, have
five third class marks.
