going to final year bsc biz student. should i opt for audit or vsa? which is easier? and i heard audit is ms chu and vsa is mr mok.. any other lecturers?

I took both in my final year and I definitely find audit easier but you have to choose Ms Chu! Her notes are godlike!!

SIM's rule is to take up to 6 (OLD REGULATIONS)
ie, enter up to 4 new and 2 resits
Total: 6 units

note: if u are absent for a unit, it is considered a new unit next sem
Graduating students (final year)
can take up to 5 new (no resits)

Hello. I've cleared 6 mods already but this year i didn't cleared my intro to econs. Can i take 5 new mods and still graduate?

Cleared Maths 1, Stats 1, IBM, Sociology, POA, Marketing and MSM.

Gonna take 5 mods that do pre requisite for Econs which are Audit, ISORG, Ebiz, Esap and FR.

I'm from business. Thanks.

for rmit, it doesn't based just on exams..there's assignments for rmit..therefore..u may get better grades if your assignments done well.

as far as i am concerned if you just wana get a degree and graduate RMIT is the way to go, my poly friends able to get HD (high dist) for alot of the units, the prob is it is not a HONS degree.
UOL is a direct hons degree yet many neglect the fact that hons degree and non hons degree are different.

personally i think uol is raising standards, and in doing so they are diverting students to RMIT. Given a choice i would have went into RMIT instead of UOL, reason being im not a A*Star student, i don't have the motivation to mug (constantly) thus my results fall into 50s and 60s without a single A.
and this is bad, as a hons degree structure will mean i am classified more rigorously, ie (2nd class 1st class etc). Hence for future new students, srsly think twice when u wana join UOL.

random rant: anyone scored A for msm for 2013? u can pm me if you're shy!

UOL notes

Hi all! Is it true that if you failed more than 1 mod (e.g. 2 mods or more), your classification will drop by one even if you were to secure a second upper for instance according to your marks? I read this from regulations..

=\ Why is it so?

Lets say if i managed to clear all 5 it will be 11 out of 12 credits. Not possible?

you see, right now am i right to say you are left with 6 units?
under the old regulations: you can enter up to 5 new (max) units in your last year (with no resits)

you can't just do 11 units and define it as your last year as technically you have one more unit to go (total 12)

yeah. i understand. but intro to econs not considered as attempted?

suggest you to read thru the EMFSS old regulations 2012-2013

i make it concise for you:
For graduating students if you failed 2 units u can still graduate (the 2 units being the units taken in LAST year, not in ur second year whatsoever) but drop one class.

People, just to ask, does it really makes a difference between having second class hons, third class and a pass degree??

I got a third class, wonder if there's a disadvantage?
