Hi, can I get advice on whether TPG is enabled for iPhone 13 Pro? The port-in is successful and I can see signal bars in the top-right corner. But I am unable to make or receive calls as well as SMS.

Yeah I did, took quite some time later but I finally have access to data and calls. There’s another issue now I realised - I can’t receive OTPs from certain sources/apps. Did anyone experience this before? And if so, is there a solution for it?

According to experience, u will eventually receive them after a day or 2, if not already. happens to other telcos like M1 too.

Hi just an update... I am receiving OTPs from some of the merchants. But there are others, which are more important that are not coming through... is this still a matter of waiting a day or two for the database to be updated?

Hey guys,

I just ported to TPG. just a nood question hope someone can entertain in.
Previously on my giga line on the same iPhone it would say 4G at the top but now it only says LTE. also I feel like the battery life is worse.

This is a new iPhone 13 pro so can’t be the phone. Is something to do with the signal?

ah i see, will consider getting tpg as my secondard sim. the speed is fine since i playing games or watching some shows also dun need that high but of cos needs to be at least decent like maybe around 25mbps the least?
no differences i think as I port my prepaid into TPG, when i collect the SIM card it was a prepaid card I tested the speedtest was around 50Mbps around Orchard 313. next day when it was port over to postpaid i test at my work area (not Orchard of course ) was around 60Mbps.

incase anyone want to know it is possible to port prepaid (non TPG) into TPG SIm only, the route is below

Prepaid (Singtel) -> Prepaid (TPG) -> Postpaid (TPG) porting was done within 12hr

LTE is 4G.

reception is likely at play, and also the device might be searching for LTE/3G/GSM signal, and if 5G Auto / On, means 5GNR too.
Using 3-4 radios to lock in to 1 network type, that’s very energy intensive for not a whole lot of work done.

for incumbents, they have modified the carrier profile to only allow 5GNR/LTE/3G at most. GSM(2G) has alr be shut down since April 2017.

TPG Telecom doesn’t have carrier profile at all for iOS, so it doesn’t have the luxury to control stuff.

Is wifi calling supported on TPG?
Very limited device support.

iOS is definitely out of question, unless u jailbreak the device and modify carrier profile (might break your device if not done right).
Until the day TPG Telecom is approved by Apple to push carrier profile update, it’ll always be a problem.

Android, not very sure.
I can’t get it to work on quite a few Xiaomi/Poco devices, not sure about other vendors.

Hello, Im considering buying Samsung A32 5G for my mum to replace her old Samsung A8.
Trying to buy one that is convenient for her so like to check if anyone is using A32 5G on TPG; need to use the TPG dialer app to make call ?
Or A32 5G has VoLTE function so no need dialer app ?
Thanks.
