Coverage in Malaysia is good. Haven't got the chance to try it out in Thailand.how is tpg data roaming in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia?
Is the coverage good?
3 months ago was at one of the offices at fusionopolis. No coverage insideThinking of porting over to TPG. How's the average network speed/connection like? Also, anyone can share their experience on the current coverage around NSL (towards Marina Bay) and city area? Thanks!
Smartfren coverage seems to be mainly outdoors based on my experience too.Coverage in Malaysia is good. Haven't got the chance to try it out in Thailand.
I went to Indonesia (Batam) recently and roaming didn't work though. TPG's roaming partner in Indonesia is SmarFren and according to this there's coverage there.
Anyone have tried using their TPG service in Batam?
Oh well... In my case, I couldn't even get signal outdoors. Just emergency calls only. Couldn't find SmartFren networks either.Smartfren coverage seems to be mainly outdoors based on my experience too.
It's not surprising since it's operating mainly on the higher frequency bands, which affects inbuilding coverage significantly
nperf is accurate and real results tested by users themselves. As for coverage, you may check their coverage areas. Mostly mapped are 4G+ as reflected in Red.hi, may I ask here what would be the average speed of 4g for TPG on standard locations (city hall, bugis, bishan)?
would it be at par with giga or vivifi? or its more than half lower?
I have below reference, but not sure if its accurate.

Samsung A52 5G.... i look at the bands it supports, 4G Band 5 and 40 are supported leh.Your device isn't compatible is it?
Their network band is different from many others, using Band 5 and Band 40.
My wife is using A52 5G and working totally fine so it's not a device issue.Samsung A52 5G.... i look at the bands it supports, 4G Band 5 and 40 are supported leh.
So I'm stumped also... overseas calling back to SG must use the 4G Voice app, u can call for free. Not sure if your MIL's includes overseas calling or not but most of the $10 lines don't unless u top up money. My wife is using A52 5G and working totally fine so it's not a device issue.
My MIL is using Oppo R9s which supports 4G Band 5 and 40 but for some reason phone call doesn't work, must use the 4G Voice app but also got issue cause the app keeps going offline after a short period, must open the app again then it will become online again.
Any idea what can I do to fix this issue?
Erm why are you talking about overseas call? My MIL's issue is even in Singapore also cannot call. Hers is the senior planSo I'm stumped also... overseas calling back to SG must use the 4G Voice app, u can call for free. SmartFren's coverage seems mostly outdoors and are limited.

Does her phone support VoLTE? If yes, did you enable VoLTE on her phone? Oppo has a funny way to enable VoLTE. It uses some codes IIRC.Erm why are you talking about overseas call? My MIL's issue is even in Singapore also cannot call. Hers is the senior plan
I got mixed answer when googling about whether it supports VoLTE but I do see some VoLTE related option when I use the code.Does her phone support VoLTE? If yes, did you enable VoLTE on her phone? Oppo has a funny way to enable VoLTE. It uses some codes IIRC.
Not sure about Oppo, but Samsung has under "Battery and device care" -> "Battery" -> "Background usage limits" -> "Never sleeping apps". Add the Voice App there. It will never sleep and will never go offline.I got mixed answer when googling about whether it supports VoLTE but I do see some VoLTE related option when I use the code.
It's fine if she has to use the voice App but the app keeps going offline after a period of time, I already disable battery optimization for the app liao so it doesn't get terminated.
It's normal what.Hi All, I just jumped ship to TPG with my Iphone13 Pro Max. But all the way i'm only on LTE network.
Travelled around SG im always on LTE only.
Is this normal or something i set wrongly?
