SIMBA gurus,

With reference to this FAQ.

https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/articles/4487047558681-Does-roaming-cover-calls-and-SMS-
In particular, this statement;
"Besides free data roaming, SIMBA subscribers can enjoy calls to and from Singapore without any roaming charges.

There’s no need to cancel incoming calls when you abroad anymore."

Is the above-mentioned statement referring to calling and receiving call via our normal mobile phone dialer are free or is it referring to using that SIMBA Voice?
Both.

Hmm... 2 slightly different answers here! Let me put it more bluntly. Let's say I'm in KL.

1. I received an incoming call from Singapore via mobile phone dialer. So, that incoming call is FOC?

2. I make a call to Singapore via mobile phone dialer. So, that outgoing call to Singapore is FOC?

OR ONLY both scenarios are FOC if I received a call from Singapore and made an outgoing call to Singapore via the SIMBA Voice app?

Both are free. The SIMBA voice app is only if your phone does not support volte. It simply do the same thing as your mobile phone default dailer.

i tried but all forbidden
Did you turn on the SIM card at least 24hrs before your travel? That’s the usual reply from simba customer service, and there’s nothing they can do if u didn’t perform this, nor even if you did, they also cannot help.
thar’s my frustration with simba.
If it work. It works, if it doesn’t, u can only suck thumb.
Cannot rely on simba at all for travel. Will likely to terminate and use jetpac instead.

Managed to get it to work?

Ensure roaming is on and to double check, sms ‘3’ to 1218 to make sure it’s roam-ready :)

It’s weird you can’t get it to work, all my time in HCMC I don’t encounter any problems though.

Actually I face the same issue with MyRepublic when roaming for the first time. After an hour of messing around I just say what the heck and click on the partners under "forbidden". Then it logs on and roam as normal. Until today I still don't understand how the protocol works.
