Eh any iPhone 14 Pro users using Simba? Will it work by using default dial pad? or must download the Simba voice app?
Been using an older model iphone and it was ok, afraid it cant support the newer iphone model.
Im on 13/14 Pro Max, and no need App, just dial as per normal :)

Time to hop on board!

it's true... most people will not need 5G speed. 5G is meant more for businesses to interconnect with each other without the need for wifi networks.

4G speed is fast enough to watch 4k videos on the go. but Simba still has rooms for improvements in their signals in certain areas.

That's right!

SIMBA needs to improve on that respect and I guess they are doing it ! It takes time being a new comer compared to the 3 big giants!

However, given that SIMBA offered Data Roaming foc with its plans. It's still worth it so much and that most of the time and places. SIMBA speed are good enough for everything mobile! :giggle: (y)

Oh Thanks. Good to know. :)

Am alr on tpg but using older iPhone model.
I asked SIMBA and they don’t dare to commit.

“You may enable the VoLTE for voice calls on iPhone 14 Pro, however, we cannot guarantee that it will work since it is not supported for mobile calling. Otherwise, you may install our SIMBA 4G Voice App to make and receive calls.”

quite satisfied with celcom coverage today from johor to kl. cheaper than my previous changi mobile where need to top up $5 for 1gb roaming
i tested my SIMBA data roaming plan in Malacca, Malaysia in September 2022. worked seamlessly

but it didn't work at all in Greece (early december). It refused to connect to any local telco at all, even when i manually select network. Could only make emergency calls :/

not a phone problem, as it also did not work on my partner's phone. Also tried troubleshooting over email with SIMBA support, and they were also clueless beyond the standard "have u restarted the phone? and have you check the APN settings?"

had to buy a local data sim in touristy Santorini the end, and paid a painful tourist price

I have been using SIMBA since the Good Friday weekend in April.

I have been watching YouTube videos to my heart's content whenever I have the time, without ever using finish or even a significant.... Actually, I don't even know how much data I use ever since I ported over to SIMBA, cuz it's just pay $10 per month only.

Of course, the free 1GB of roaming data that I can use whenever I go to Johor Bahru.

Honestly,

SIMBA, by now, should have already achieved break even liao hor?

Time to further cement SIMBA's position in the telco market already, otherwise DBS every now and then will only suan SIMBA when acquired by other telcos...

Recommendations for SIMBA:

1. Negotiate with Spotify, see whether can offer discounted subscription prices for SIMBA customers or not. This is what Singtel customers get to enjoy.

2. Acquire the MNVOs, to become a bigger fish.

Honestly, I personally think SIMBA is here to stay.

I used an Orange ( Europe telco ) sim card while in Santorini during October, was able to roam successfully but the reception in certain areas are quite spotty so your mileage might vary depending on the roaming partners. I could connect to either Vodafone or Cosmote but usually the latter has better cell reception & data speeds.

Something seems to wrong with my Simba Voice app on my Pixel 4. When there is an incoming call, I can't hear any ring notification sound playing. Anyone have the same problem and manage to solve the issue?

Hi guys, I am looking at this simba plan SIMBA SuperRoam. Does anyone use this plan? It says 10 GB for 57 GB destinations, so does it means I can use the full 10 Gb in one place and been renew by a new billing month? Appreciate your help to explain on this
