Need to opt to terminate meh? I did receive many SMS informing me about expiring on 31 May,I didn't do anything at all leh but now still working...

Better to opt to terminate, especially if you use a credit card to register.

My one will expire in July (registered in Jan 2020) and I chose to log in and choose to terminate after trial expires.

what if TPG don't have automation system to do mass deactivation for trial users?

Good luck to manual deactivation by their staffs.

They have over 400k trial users, so I guess it will be deactivated by batches.

Till some MVNO or mno buys Tuas (TPG) over. I feel Singapore is too small for 4 Telco operator, 3 is just enough.

it is good thing anyway. free usage afterall.

why ur free trial is expiring on 4 June? you signed it up later previous?

what is this port-in new sim from TPG?
you port other telco number over to TPG to sign the $10 50GB plan?

Yes, I signed up around early June last year. I'm going to port in from Grid Mobile $24.90 plan to the TPG $10 plan today.

I'm working mostly from home using WiFi data and my calls are also through WhatsApp, hence I use very little call and SMS data.

As I seldom take MRT, the underground connection issue for TPG does not affect me very much. Even for MCE tunnel, it is not much of an issue as it takes just a few minutes to drive through that section and I usually don't talk over the phone when I drive.

yeah market is saturated seriously. I would think that even the 3 telcos are struggling to survive now especially the orange one.

i see. ya. $10 is good for the amount of data they give indeed.

the green pipe is also struggling. Rumours are going around. Like this...

StarHub chief quashes talk of a merger with M1

StarHub's chief executive Peter Kaliaropoulos rebuffed speculation of a possible merger between the telco and its 5G bid partner M1 at its virtual annual general meeting (AGM) yesterday.

because

StarHub posts 25.7% Q1 profit drop on Covid-19 hit, plans to fast-track 5G rollout

M1 is also experiencing more new subscribers due to MVNOs tapping on it's network. Geenet, Circles.life and MyRepublic.

Previous TPG emails stated my trial will expire in end May.

Yesterday, receive another email from TPG saying my trial is expiring soon without stating end date :s22:

Case 2. Still working. Really don't know what TPG is doing.

hopefully they allow the trial to go on to iron out all the problems through users feedback. But with throttled speed to diffrentiate from paid subscribers.

singtel also.

early this year already got news on this.
Singtel's Q3 profit dropped 24% to $627.2m

https://sbr.com.sg/telecom-internet/news/singtels-q3-profit-dropped-24-6272m

so basically all telcos are not doing well as before.

Haven't see M1 announcing it's Q1 2020 performance yet. Probably in the next few weeks. Singtel will definitely survive giving it's long history and diversification outside of SG.

yup. orange telcos is the one at highest risk.

Singtel lost a lot of money in India.
