I dare say 50GB is hard to burst :s13:

My tablet is LTE which I have to use for work sometimes

Nowadays, I use Bluetooth to pair my laptop with my hand phone and share the data. Sadly, the free TPG package will end very soon so I will use Bluetooth for it too.

My monthly data usage is 15+ GB per month and my laptop/tablet for work is under 1 GB per month. So my $24.90 Grid Mobile of 40 GB is more than sufficient.

I might switch over to TPG if the same $10 package is still available around the end of this year, when the network should be more robust and widespread.

Probably have to wait till next year to have full coverage, but it is ideal as spare or hotspotting

from HWZ

while TPG would fulfil the free trial period that the users are currently signed up for, one month before the end of their contract, they would receive an email to see if they were interested in migrating to the TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan. If they do not wish to migrate, they can either move to another telco by porting their number over, or sign a new plan with TPG. Their existing number and plan will not be in operation once their contract ends.

Thanks but how about people that already went beyond their trial period? End immediately?

Are we able to port existing non-tpg number into this new 50GB plan?

Thank you.

Interested to know also. Consider to port my parents singtel and starhub prepaid ro this new 50gb

Prepaid port only to Prepaid.

OR you port from Starhub/Singtel Prepaid into Starhub/Singtel Postpaid then to whichever telco you wish... But it will take some time & money :o

Need to settle:

1) Coverage underground and in tuas area.
2) Calling Local Landline starting with 6. [61234567]
3) Calling overseas number
4) Better roaming partner

With the current plan for $10 is a steal.
but TPG voice app is usable and still unlimited? Will they charge just like myrepublic app next time?

Yes, the main gripe is on underground tunnels. If that is sorted, I have no qualms jumping over

If I have a compatible phone that can call VoLTE, use it as a data plan or backup to a main line from Singtel Vivifi Lite or StarHub Giga or MyRepublic $10.

I just signed up with Grid Mobile at $24.90 per month. Fortunately, it is a no-contract plan. TPG's $10 looks good but I think they priced it so low for a reason. Once its infrastructure is more robust, it will not be so cheap.

This I agree
There must be trade off, otherwise it means our normal telco has been very greedy, profit gao gao

We will extend your current trial plan service till 30 May 2020. We will send another email on 1 May 2020 to notify you to indicate your interest to migrate to the TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan.

Got a question? Drop us an email at support@tpgmobile.sg.

We look forward to making your TPG experience a happy one.

Kind regards,
TPG
