Need to settle:

1) Coverage underground and in tuas area.
2) Calling Local Landline starting with 6. [61234567]
3) Calling overseas number
4) Better roaming partner

With the current plan for $10 is a steal.
but TPG voice app is usable and still unlimited? Will they charge just like myrepublic app next time?

I am very likely to take up their $10 plan in the hope that my "contribution" will help them become competitive with the other telcos. :D

We will extend your current trial plan service till 30 May 2020. We will send another email on 1 May 2020 to notify you to indicate your interest to migrate to the TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan.

Got a question? Drop us an email at support@tpgmobile.sg.

We look forward to making your TPG experience a happy one.

Kind regards,
TPG

Just received the above email

I have just received an email on this too but there is no indication of expiry date. It just says I will receive another email 1 month before the expiry. With my Grid Mobile of 40 GB, I don't think I need so much data. I will likely to port over to TPG towards the end of this year if the $10 offer still stands.

Are you using it in a multi-Sim phone. If that is the case, it will be good to use TPG as your main data leeching. Then when you go tunnel, switch to MyRepublic.:)

I'm likely to cancel my TPG numbers as my usage is about 3GB and underground is still a problem after so long.

Giga and MR serves my needs better. In fact, that's harder to decide because Giga has rollover and MR doesn't. Rollover seems to be more beneficial for low data usage people like me.

Yes. Each has it's own good. Based on $10 plan, gigs offers 5GB rollover data, while MyRepublic offers 6GB boundless data.

So well, unless you use a lot data, MyRepublic will be good. If you use 3GB or lesser data, giga will be good as you can rollover. If you rollover 2GB to next billing cycle, then you get 2+5GB. But if you still use 3GB, then it would be a waste.

MyRepublic also has more allocated mins and sms. I will also cancel my TPG after the extended trial ends on May.

If you monthly usage is 3GB, you may want to try going prepaid.
M1 prepaid @ $14 for 4GB+4GB. Works out to be about $7 per month? :D

I think I will hold out from porting to TPG until their coverage improves. Hopefully it'll be right about the same time my $7/mo Circles Life 20 GB (11.11 promo) expires...!
