as mentioned previously this is not valid if you do a port in "simply SMS 3 to 1218". Roaming is auto enabled when you port in as per my check with SIMBA agent last week or so.

Put your sim card in 2nd slot if android ? why need to go malaysia then enable sim ?

cause after i get the simcard, i travel to Malaysia already.
when i get the simcard, they claim need 2 to 3 days to port over.
but it port over after 12am yesterday (i get the simcard yesterday noon)

Ported in from M1 days back. I checked and its roam ready immediately and showing Simba as the network .

My other SIM that I ported over months back was showing TPG , but days later it changed to Simba .

I bought SIMBA card $25 last week plus top-up $15, before I went overseas.
It has been active at least 48 hours, confirmed by checking the status via SMS "simba" to 1218 that my card is roaming ready, got message "Congratulations! Your SIM is ready for roaming. Please visit www.simba.sg/roaming for full roaming details."
Arrived in Turkey, NO SIGNAL at all. Turkey is part of Group C, which I read somewhere that it is not free roaming, and that it cost $15/GB. That's why I top-up $15 before I left SG. No luck.
Arrived in Bulgaria, NO SIGNAL at all. Bulgaria is part of Group A, which is supposed to be free roaming (part of the $25 package). No luck.
I already checked the APN was TPG. Already roaming enabled. Already turn on/off plane mode. Already restarted the phone. No luck.
It felt like a scam.

Even my Singtel hiCard at least got registered to the local network for both countries, even though I couldn't use it for internet because I didn't buy any roaming package for it (prepaid hiCard doesn't have roaming package to Europe, postpaid has).

My wife ported in her line from Giga but the line was under my name. Simba refused to refund us the money and asked my wife to cancel and reapply under my name. Any ways to get back the money?

to port over the line needs to be owner's name (in all the t&c) .. same as any telco / mvno .. the new simba sim is valid 3 months .. either you check with giga if the line can be transferred to her name else you have to choose an mvno that can do it .. like redone

Thanks. Giga does not allow transfer of ownership. I have already cancelled the first registration and put it under my name. All I can say Simba port in service is a scam, making us to pay first before getting the sim card.

Which telco in SG gives us the SIM card before collecting payment?

Other Telco confirms details before collecting payments and issue sim card. Simba collects payment at registration and refuses to amend details. Really poor services and such a shame scam. I have no issue with Giga porting at all. I paid for a new sim card with a new number. Then the porting is done when I am ready with the new sim card. If I sign up with wrong name, I can just terminate anytime and get refunded from Giga.

sounds like it's a phone setting issue. Chose manual network selection, than automatic.
I've roamed in a few countries in Europe, no issues for me, I even attempted manual network selection as the network it got on was only 3G.

Same last year in USA/JFK and London/Heathrow.
It is like that.
