Thanks, anyone tried to just stop paying instead of going through the official process?
Why would you do that? It affects your credit rating, which means your application for loans, credit cards, etc will all be affected in future. It is very easy to destroy your own rating just by having a record of non-payment to a registered company in Singapore or any other bad debts in general, but not so easy to build it back up again to have a good rating.

Just write in and terminate if you need to end the service.

Excess charges are deducted from the credit wallet that you must top up. If there is $0, it will not automatically deduct from the credit card on file.

So by design, users will have to pump in a few dollars.

Their FAQ makes it clear that all these charges are deducted from the SIMBA Wallet (ie, you must top up).

I seem to recall the credit card deductions are only for the monthly subscriptions. It does not trigger any additional top ups when you run out of roaming data, probably to protect the customer from unintended billing which is an administrative hassle for them too.
So it means as long as i do not exceed any of the given limits, i can stick to CC payment? Only when i exceed data/sms/roaming then i need top up via wallet to pay for it, then balance charge to CC?

Eg. overshot by $6, top up $10 in wallet, balance $4 in wallet, once billing comes, CC gets charged $6 after deducting $4 from wallet?

If you don't exceed, CC payment only is fine. If you think there is a chance you might exceed, you need to top-up the wallet. Roaming stops when there is nothing in the wallet - so you will just disconnect.

And the screenshot portion makes charges clear. Assuming your subscription is $10. If there is >$10 in the wallet, then it will deduct from your wallet. If it is less than that, it will take from your CC. They made clear there is no partial deduction so the full subscription is deducted.

This is why I think unifying their wallet in a per-user account makes more sense for users, because if I only used 4 cents of data in two lines, meaning I have $9,96 in two accounts, the next billing cycle means i will be -$20 ($10+$10) from the CC, while the wallet each holds $9.96. This is quite unfair to us customers. When you consider that credits are non-refundable, it's quite a lot of money to throw away - instead of 8 cents, it's $20.

I tried to port in from prepaid and the shop told me that they will port to prepaid first then after one month can convert to postpaid. I saw the FAQ and it seems that can direct convert to postpaid. Anyone has similar encounters?

Using cellmapper app, can see that Simba has many new cells towers not display on the map.

Nice.

In July I've 2 mobiles to port to SIMBA, both under my name in Singtel, & I still want them under my name with SIMBA (Senior Plan).

Initially I wanted to use the website to do, but I worried complications porting 2...as during the process has to input email & password & use SingPass...and I didn't read anywhere where it allows me to input 2 mobile numbers in one application...so it will be one application after another.

So this means I've to do it twice & I worry got complications eg email has been used before (from my 1st port in).

Also I read that although same name/NRIC I'll need to use 2 separate apps to monitor (read somewhere in this Forum).

Better I go to the shop to talk2.

However I would be grateful if anyone can shed some light.
