thats because simba only has 10 mhz of band 1 for 5g sa while other telcos have 100 mhz of band 78 which is 10x bandwidth of simba thats why its slow
so change your phone settings to 4g only instead of 5g

Yes. I stick to 4g. Not worth the battery drain for 5g nsa or even their 5g sa which is slower than 4g anyway.

But I've noticed, because the senior plan which can connect to 5g sa, my friend used it on an old phone which doesn't have 5g at all. So the 4g is really slow..... Guess it's due to the 5g sa tower that's giving the 4g speed. Which is very very slow..

Whereas my own phone on 4g is much way faster, thru speed test verification, side by side. And even if the senior plan Sim in my phone, I test on 4g only, it's very slow.. Guess it's the signal tower it latching on.

My 2024 china rom xiaomi phone mobile network settings no more 5g toggle, always search for 5g. Only has 5g battery saver in battery settings, to reduce power consumption in certain scenarios. To disable 5g needs to enter hidden network settings. However will reboot phone will enable 5g again.

Not sure how is it for xiaomi global rom phones.

My china rom phone does not has problem with simba 5g. I am replying to earlier post about simba 5g SA is higher power consumption and slower speed than simba 4G. Xiaomi china rom by default does not have disable 5G toggle to force 4g only.
