anyone here top up simba wallet more than $20 during NDP promo? Like $40 or $100, and have you all received your free credits.

Is it one shot $10, $15, or by batches of $5, $5?
Bought 3x 20 on diff days diff vendors.
3 days after each topup, rcv $5.00 separately.

Last day to credit the $5 is 14august per the advertisement.

I got my 3x$5 liao

Anyone use the simba plan for ipad mini? Not sure if it works. And regards to the 1gb roaming, does it roll over if we did not use, and what if we run out of data, is it expensive to top up? Am thinking to subscribe to the lowest plan, mainly for the 1gb roaming data everywhere internationally

1GB roaming does not roll over ;)

100GB won't run out unless you like watch 24/7, can you CC to auto bill each month and top up as per your choice but min. is $5 i think.

I am going for the SuperRoam plan and $30 for 1st 90days, thereafter $39 for subsequent 90 days, which is fine cos it is only $13 per month.

But the top-up options only have in multiples of $5 or $10s. Meaning I have to top up $40 and leave a $1 inside until 4 times later (360 days), to utilise the $4 with another $35 top-up.

The money in itself isn't material but just have some leftover chillings I don't really like lol

possibly, you try and let us know :p
by right it should be refunded through the same method that you topped up but there may be T&Cs to say credits are non-refundable

Recent (Aug) NDP promo, SIMBA gives (FREE) bonus $5 for every $20 top up to SIMBA wallet.

If you've done 2 x $20 top ups during the NDP promo -- your SIMBA wallet will have $50 (2 x $20 + 2 x FREE $5).
(i.e. top up $40 to get $50)

Within next 11mths (Sep 23 to Jul 24) top up another $110 -- (then) total top up to your SIMBA wallet is ($110 + $50) = $160.

$160 is sufficient to cover 4 x $39 = $156 (or 4 x 90days) SuperRoam MY costs for 360days (close to 1yr).

ACTUAL money spent on top ups is only ($40 + $110) = $150.

So your nett cost for SuperRoam MY is actually ($150 / 4) = $37.50 every 90days

This is lower than the listed $39 for every 90days. Haha..

DESPITE paying only $150 for 4 x $39 (4 x 90days) SuperRoam MY costs...

After 4 x $39 deductions -- your SIMBA wallet STILL has FREE ($160 - $156) = $4 leftover !! Haha..

Next Aug 2024, wait for the next SIMBA NDP promo & repeat the above.

In 2021 Aug, SIMBA has NDP promo: Top up $18 get (FREE) bonus $2.
In 2022 Aug, SIMBA has NDP promo: Top up $20 get (FREE) bonus $5.
In 2023 Aug, SIMBA has NDP promo: Top up $20 get (FREE) bonus $5.

I never miss SIMBA's NDP promos.

My actual nett cost for my SIMBA plan is always lower than the listed cost (when calculated annually).

My SIMBA wallet always has left over FREE money -- by the time the next SIMBA NDP promo comes.
(I never need to worry at all about any odd remaining $1 or $2 from top ups after SIMBA plan renewal deductions).

You are very meticulous. But I want to have the flexibility to zao and not lock-in for so long once other MVNO offers eSim.

Each renewal cycle is 90 days which in itself is a 3 months lock-in already. I like the speed by ZYM (Singtel MVNO) and find SIMBA edgey at times. Still bearable, but just doesn't perform as well.

Like a lot of other people, I've more than 1 mobile line.
(I never depend on 1 mobile line only -- since no telco or mobile line is perfect.)

SIMBA is just 1 of the mobile lines I use -- so I don't need to 'zao' from SIMBA at all. Haha...

SIMBA is one of those (few) telcos that -- it is possible / easy to pay lower (nett) cost for mobile plan renewal -- compared to the listed mobile plan cost. :)
