IMHO.
Even if 1 bar, if not much users, i think the speed should be quite ok.
Give 5 bars, many users, back to square 1.
But ok lah, not much esim around.
to me 1 bar is not acceptable maybe i have been using singtel network ... phone should have at least 3-4 bar signal

I just realised I've not been able to make any voice calls at all, should I be checking any specific settings?

Nope! It doesn't work this way! I'm using my Samsung Android phone as an example.

SIMBA is running on 5G NSA, not 5G SA. As long as you are in the 5G NSA coverage spots. You will see a the "5G" logo.

So, if I activated the "5G SA Only" option on my Samsung phone when I'm in the 5G NSA coverage area. The "5G" logo stayed but I would lose the 5G NSA and 4G and 3G data connections totally. I confirmed it with Speedtest which it failed to detect any types of data connection.

The moment I deactivated the "5G SA Only" option. I got back my 5G NSA/4G/3G data connections as per normal.
I am referring to manual search network. With SA mode on, you can see SIMBA 4G and Simba 5G.

When SA mode off, you will only see SIMBA 4G in the manual network search. But still see the 5G logo.

Can confirm?

yes it does support wifi calling. have tried on my phones before
Cannot find any topic on this. Does SIMBA support wifi calling?
According to wiki,
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lis...perators_of_the_Asia_Pacific_region#Singapore

Simba don't support vowifi. I made enquiry before via Instagram chat. They also say no support.

Can explain simba's reply to my vowifi enquiry. Tell me can or cannot support with Simba. Lol

"VOWIFI can work if you are connected with Wifi connection. Since the service of Simba is using 4G connection, this is not applicable with Simba service, unless you can connect your handset to a WIFI connection. However, it will not be a service of Simba."

If vowifi is active, you will see the volte logo changed to vowifi. My brother on giga network has that.

I am not on IOS. Prior to the launch, I used manual mode to hunt for 5G. Maybe you can try that.
Assuming your SA mode is on to be able to see the Simba 5G in manual network search. Without activating the SA mode, I think you can only see SIMBA 4G in the search.

But still able to connect to 5G as long as you are in the 5G range?

Okay. Did a re-test by enabling 5G SA and this time the 5G NSA works.

However, there is no point to enable the 5G SA as SIMBA doesn't has it yet. It wastes the battery juice.

Therefore, leave the "5G SA" toggle alone!

Agree.
Maybe roaming wise, we can on SA since other roaming partner may have SA mode on for their 5G.
