Hi all
still deciding between Simba or Zym

what do you think think is better ?
ZYM/Vivifi. For the same $10, a much more reliable network to use all over the island.

Also, the latest rumour on the street is that SIMBA may be sold to Starhub. Since it's not doing well financially anyway - we don't know what will happen in future, and whether $10 prices are realistic. Or whether they will be shut down.

Hmm true.
but simba has eSim right.
kind of like esim so if I travel can use local prepaid sim
Your call. I have SIMBA (in my tablet from the past), StarHub 5G (main line) and Singtel (work line, under Vivifi) currently.

I can tell you categorically that my SIMBA line still has moments of unusuably inferior speeds. I don't consider bandwidth of 10-30Mbps sufficient, and that's the typical SIMBA speeds.

I used to use SIMBA for my work line. It was so bad (not just speeds but also reliable coverage) I had to port out to Vivifi since it was the same $10. But I work in a job where I travel around quite a bit and around housing estates and have encountered blind spots more often than I like.

No go for SIMBA if you don't travel around the world very frequently due to its slower-than-norm's 4G and 5G speed! 😷 Unless you are a cabin crew or pilot! :giggle:

....What the heck I just said being a SIMBA supporter.... 🤭 I feel sinful..😓

Yes, you're supposed to activate it w your Singpass
Any idea what is the process to do that?
And afterwards do we need to install by of their apps or something? I am using pixel 6 and will be using it for travel.
Thanks a lot in advance!

it's still rolling out gradually, actually it's over 70% covered in Singapore. Based on nperf 5G coverage of the 4 oeprators, Simba is not far behind the 3 telcos.
I mean their 5G signals seems very limited places.

Can anyone recommend a 4G LTE Router that works with SIMBA SIM card? My Asus 4G-AC68U can't establish an internet connection with a SIMBA card.

Simba's revenue and EBITDA, subscriber base has high growth rate in latest financial report.

In the $10 plan critical information pdf, the plan consist of 100GB data component is priced at $6, 1 GB roaming data priced at $4. I think majority of the subscriber do not fully utilise the local data or even use roaming.

5G with white background means it's connected to 5G NSA/SA
5G with no white background means, there is 5G network available, but phone choses to connect the 4G that is the strongest
Oh.. now I understand already. Thanks for sharing this.
