IMHO.
So what do you think would a reasonable speed to get ?
If can hit 150mbps already considered good. Going forward, if more and more users set their phones to auto log onto 5G, most likely their 5G will get congested. End up 4G might even be faster. Maybe early in the morning can do a speed test when no one using the network, so that will probably be a good gauge of the maximum capacity and speed in certain locations.

Just for an update, for my side at Redhill, at 4G+ with a full 5-bar connection, I only can get 20mbps in the middle of the night. Daytime is around 10 to 15mbps. So it seems that Simba already capped the speed by locations or base stations.

Anyone tried switching from eSIM to Physical SIM?
Where can it be done, and is it $5 per replacement (advised by their CSO)?
Unfortunately have to use eSIM on my other line and my current phone does not support dual active eSIM..

I was at Orchard road the other day. I manage to get Simba Tpg 5G and do speedtest 87Mbps down and 22Mbps up. This is equivalent to Heya 4G average speed .

Sounds like throttled speed of basic plan. Can you call out or send sms?
Unsuccessful payment for plan renewal will result in a reversion to a Basic Plan which includes only Basic Data Services (192Kbps), incoming calls and SMS. This means that you will not be able to enjoy full speed data, make any outgoing calls nor send SMS.

cannot call out...

but my credit card already charged the $10 ...
means line not enabled yet ?
sorry for complaining but its really bad customer experience esp for new customer.

if you are going to only provide basic plan throttled speed when first sign up, then tell customer upfront clearly.
its a very disappointing to customer to have this speeds when first using the service.

1. When did you register for the porting? If its weekend, that would means that porting is still in process as porting doesn't takes place on Sat & Sun.
2. Is your StarHub number still active on StarHub network? If yes, then the porting is not completed yet. Porting will takes place between 11pm to 1am on Monday - Friday.
3. Once the service is fully activated, you'll receive an invoice email from SIMBA and that is when your service will start counting.

noted thanks. shall wait for another day to see.

I think Simba should have notify customer properly. If they will only enable the service after porting in completed, either they should include clearly in the eSim registration email that service will only be fully activated few days later upon portin successful or dont even send the eSim until line is fully activated.

else its really a negative experience for new users.

Your porting should take place after 11pm later tonight, you'll first see your line at your current service provider (Starhub) goes into no service, and then your number shall be active at SIMBA around 1am +/-.

Just updating...

Currently able to top-up using SimplyGo app with SIMBA online.

However I was unable to do so while in JB Roaming with CELCOM.

Tried using the WiFi at JB's City Square but SimplyGo app denied access due to security reasons
Still unable to top-up using SimplyGo when Roaming with CELCOM
