What is your phone signal strength? 1 2 or 5 bars? Some places, especially enclosed office buildings received little or no signal if Simba did not install those cone-shaped repeaters at the ceilings or perhaps they installed too little.
signal strength 2 bar.
yah i should have do more research on coverage at my office bldg.
now no point to continue w simba since i cannot use my phone data connection when i am in office.

Simba street level connection speed is not great.
You can get better speed while inside a major shopping complex where simba repeater installed.
Unlikely for office building with simba repeater

My request to port in was made on 17102023.
In the email, SIMBA says it will take one working to activate the ported number.

As of 19102023 0725, I am still with my old Telco. Is this something to be concerned of?

You might want to reachout to Simba as it could be a sign of a failed porting (ie. Customer Details doesn't match with existing telco, etc.)

If its really that, you're likely to have the $10 that you've paid on 17 Oct forfeited as failed porting is non-refundable.

They sent in another 'Porting In-Progress Notification' this morning around 0859 with the 'Port-In Submission Date' to 19/10/2023.

Hopefully I get port over by 20/10/2023 morning as I need the roaming for JB.

I actually signed up for the whole thing around 12 Oct... Kind of a bummer that it is taking so long.

is there a 30D min period before can cancel TPG ?

i have completed my port in and i can usually get around 80Mbps but in my office at changi area, i am only getting 1.06 Mbps speeds now ....
I believe for SIMBA minimum contract period is 2 months.

Shouldn't take a week to port in, best to enquire.

Anyone facing a deadzone when you are at bedok mrt? This is on the EWL.

this alone is very vague
because mrt itself is big

even in smaller reported location
1 of the unique telco in sg, play with location to tweak their coverage and speedtest result on reported location unless u put a "cross" on the spot of report
otherwise they freeplay to cover the defects

I think recently the Simba porting slow down. Not same day. My relative applied on Sunday, Tuesday 11pm the start the porting.

Or it depend on where u apply the card. Different store, different processing speed

I collected the sim card at orchard central on a monday night last month. Tuesday night close to 11pm the old telco no signal then simba email at 1am wednesday said port in completed. They have cut off timing for same day processing of port in?

Someone posted in this thread he collected sim card at 4pm last month, port in completed few hours later pass midnight. was it kelvinti?

I collected mine at serangoon bus interchange around 6.30pm. Same day 11pm cut off. 1am+ up.

You case probably same like my relative. Just that Sunday non business day. Submit on Monday ( received email say port request received ) and Tuesday evening then port.

Just thinking why not Monday submit, Monday port over like mine.
Wondering if due to different store or just because more people porting over to Simba. Very good business. Too many applications.

Hi, my son just switched to iphone14. But ever since he switched the phone, we could not call him on our mobile. (M1 calling Simba number)
There is always a prompt that the number is unavailable.
No issue calling via whatsapp, text is working as well,
Anyone knows whats wrong? And where can i find a list of simba outlets? the last option is to go to their outlets for help.
