Finally resolved the lagness and slowness in SIMBA network recently. Simba got back to me with the resolutions:

Please do the below checks to help.

1. Move to a location where signal is better to have stronger and stable connection.
2. Ensure you are using a 4G capable handset.
3. Perform manual network selection & connect to SIMBA network.
4. Network Mode should be set to 4G/LTE or automatic 3G/4G/LTE
5. Delete and re-add SIMBA APN setting
6. Turn On & Off Airplane/Flight Mode
7. Restart the handset (Turn Off/On)
8. Ensure that the handset firmware is running in the latest version
9. Close all other applications running in the background
10. Delete / re-add SIMBA APN setting
11. For Dual SIM devices, test the SIM on both SIM card slot.

option 5 works for me, delete the entire APN TPG. then re-add again.
Up for awareness. For those who still suffer slowness and lagness in some apps.

Please delete the entire APN entry in your phone. Then set up APN again. Just put TPG as APN.

Is there any way to track my usage if I am using eSIM on an iPad? I am unable to receive or send SMS to 1218, and also not able to receive OTP to login to SIMBA app as I am only able to use data on iPad

SIMBA should update the APN settings. The setting of TPG for APN might not make sense for new users.

iPad does not support SMS or phone calls, unlike Samsung Tablets where you can call and SMS.

the only way you can do now is to login to their portal website to see usages. Seems like it's not a good idea to use eSIM on iPad as cannot receive SMS

I port over to simba on 12/12 noon. Now my SingTel network is down and simba is up. Why I can’t still login their app and also make calls? I can only access data with slow speed.
Message from phone when I tried to call someone “ sorry , your call is restricted “

I am using iPhone 13 Pro esim simba.

Porting not exactly completed, probably try again later tonight?
Not even a day, only been 12 hours since porting and moreover porting usually takes 2 biz days or more on standard basis.

According to wiki,
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lis...perators_of_the_Asia_Pacific_region#Singapore

Simba don't support vowifi. I made enquiry before via Instagram chat. They also say no support.

Can explain simba's reply to my vowifi enquiry. Tell me can or cannot support with Simba. Lol

"VOWIFI can work if you are connected with Wifi connection. Since the service of Simba is using 4G connection, this is not applicable with Simba service, unless you can connect your handset to a WIFI connection. However, it will not be a service of Simba."

If vowifi is active, you will see the volte logo changed to vowifi. My brother on giga network has that.
Might want to verify whether its actually on SIMBA or your alternate SIM?

Now even simba line is down. Means I will go without data or phone line tomorrow.

how can they cancel both line at the same time without proper transition sia. Never had such issue with other provider before

I ported over from giga. Last night giga notified me that porting was done and disconnected my service. But SIMBA is still down. Contacted them over Instagram but no response. Not sure if I can get any phone service today.

Unless someone successfully ports over with $0 balance, we cant confirm if its a scam or not. But I really doubt you need a balance to port over, from the above information...

Just to add to this discussion... Over the previous weekend I ported over a StarHub Prepaid card with $0 balance and its 4 week package ended about 2 weeks prior. The prepaid number was listed as active until Feb 2024 in the StarHub Prepaid App.

I initiated the porting on Saturday afternoon. By Sunday morning the line was successfully ported over to SIMBA 100GB Postpaid.

From a non-active prepaid to Simba post paid? That's good to know.

My past experience main number more than 20yrs ago number ported to TPG, no problem overseas or sg, almost immediately

New number, 1-2 yrs ago, senior plan, select from tpg list when signing up. Got problem even now, sometimes later then received the otp or sms even in sg. Overseas not sure bcos didn't need otp overseas for this extra number

Technically the prepaid is still active (until Feb 2024) according to the StarHub App. Just that it has $0 credit and zero bundle minutes / data available to consume from. IIRC the StarHub App showed it had some residual SMS and free incoming before I ported over.

My SuperRoam Max plan didn't work in Canada even after contacting Simba and trying all the methods to set APN.
It just doesn't connect to the telcos there.

There is however a 2 month contract for SuperRoam Max in the fineprints which Simba has refused to waive off.

Does anyone have any experience in contact CASE or small claims tribunal since Simba fails to provide the services promised?

Have you check if your phone's band compatibility with Canada telco?
