it is running as a VPN service, but different from other VPN services, it only redirect your DNS queries, not others.
It is a phone-wide global service, so once you turn on the VPN, all DNS queries on your phone will go through it.
What I mean for "turn it off" is that when you want to use this VPN, you go to the VPN app and turn it on. It will be on forever if you don't turn it off. Once you feel like don't need VPN anymore, you go and turn it off.
Thank you very much for your insightful information.

Apologise this is a long thread, I have a question as a new SIMBA user:
1. If the mobile number is linked to a credit card, will the monthly bill be charged to that credit card? I successfully topped up $10 on 27/02/24 for my overseas trip, but simultaneously, I received a notification that it has been renewed, and my top-up of $10 in the balance account is gone. Does this mean SIMBA deducts as long as there is a balance in the account?
2. I haven't received any renewal notification for my second dormant line, the due date for this line is similar to no 1, even though it is also linked to a credit card. The billing process seems quite confusing.
3. I downloaded the SIMBA App from the Apple Store. While I can access my profile and have updated it several times, I can't see the following ? May I know where have I gone wrong? I went through the update by a link given by a Bros at this thread and it is chargeable! Thank you

  1. Log in to My Account
  2. Click Profile
  3. Scroll down and look for Payment Details
  4. Click on the Pencil Icon, located at the top right-hand corner
  5. Select Credit Card
  6. Enter your Card details correctly to complete the update process
Note: I managed to resolve the 3rd issue and it has to edit in SIMBA Account instead directly via its APP? Am I correct?

1) Credits in the wallet will be deducted first. If wallet is empty then deduction will be from the credit card.

2) I don't understand the situation eg why is the number dormant?

3) What followings you can't see: I can't see the following?
Updates best to do it in the link you provided ie web link, based on successful input from members in this forum.

Thanks for your reply.

2) The number has been activated, but the user is currently overseas. In my opinion, it is dormant as the SIM card has not yet been inserted into any phone.
3) I can't see the followings if using SIMBA App directly: (anyway it has been resolved using web link)
  1. Scroll down and look for Payment Details

  3. Select Credit Card
  4. Enter your Card details correctly to complete the update process
Thank you.

Maybe those at the concert can test if the claim is true
no tickets, no test. I remember last year NDP, simba put up more temporary cell repeaters near padang, i was there and network speed load very fast and instant. I have another m1 line and it was super slow and laggy due to the sheer number of people using.

Hope it works well for people going to national stadium

Can check for monthly payment, if my credit card is lock by mistake and this month bill cannot be charged, can I go into the app to manually trigger card to be charged instead?

It's the same as SIM Only 130GB as the 200GB only for first 6 months.
yes. but cheaper. The $18/mth Sim only 130GB is old plan, i think soon they will drop it in name for the 200GB plan. Both plans have 500min fixed line, 300min IDD, 2GB int roaming.

So i think the subscribers for $18/mth plan will soon pay lesser as they merge both plans. And become $12 plan.

I also feel the 200GB data will be perm in future. Though they say free 6 months. Simba will likely extend. just like they did with SIM only 50GB (+50GB) plan
