Hi all, do any of you have experience porting in from MyRepublic 5G to SIMBA?

I actually did once in May 2023. That time I chose "MyRepublic Mobile" at SIMBA site when indicating prev telco. Everything works.

This time I also put "MyRepublic Mobile". But port in failed, SIMBA says MR did not release my number.
I asked MR and they say should put "StarHub" instead. I find that confusing?

So did anyone share same experience? Thx
back to SIMBA now! Update on this and a whole port in process for sharing:

21 Feb 7pm walk in orchard central for sign up and port in from MR 5G plan. Told the staff to port in from “MyRepublic Mobile”

23 Feb still not ported in. Never receive any email or sms. Called SIMBA to check, they say “donating carrier wrong”. Chatted with MR CS and they said need to chose ”StarHub” for 5G plans. Called SIMBA again to indicate this change.

23 Feb 23:50 MR 5G cut me off. No any email or sms.
24 Feb 01:10 SIMBA SIM start service. Then receive SMS and email say port in successfully.

so looks like if port in fail, might not give email. Need to actively ask.

Sianz, was very interested in their roaming package, but was turned off by the VoLTE requirement. As im overseas a lot, having no VoLTE on the move means i cannot make/receive traditional cellular calls/sms. Am i wrong?

I do not want download and rely on their app as it's highly unreliable.

i think thats the thing with MyRepublic. They are operating on two different operators; M1 and Starhub. Newer 5G plans on starhub and older on M1. To us general consumers, actually it's not our decision to know or indicate as M1 or Starhub, nor do we actually know is starhub or m1. Unless you really read into past forum history and chats then you will know whether you are starhub or M1. MyRepublic the most confusing and not so straight forward.

MyRepublic change their ex very fast, they started with Starhub, then switch to M1. Now they went back to Starhub ex, but at the same time third timer with M1.

No need to hide or whatever. Consider this a free VAS which they can withdraw anytime. Until then, just enjoy the 5G speed.

(1) $10.50 per month (every 30days).
* After 10mths, total deduction from SIMBA wallet should be ($10.50 x 10) = $105.
* Top up of $105 to your SIMBA wallet can be provided EXACTLY by 10 x $10 top up + 1 x $5 top up
(OR 5 x $20 top up + 1 x $5 top up. Yes, top up can be done via Shopee or other methods).

(2) Alternatively,
+ Ensure you've a valid credit / debit card details in your SIMBA account.
+ Use up your SIMBA wallet such that there is less than $10.50 left.
+ Then subsequent monthly plan deduction will be EXACTLY $10.50 from your credit / debit card every month (every 30days).

Based on the above, I do not see what's the problem.

(Unfortunately) If you -- somehow deem that the above is a problem -- then you should port out of SIMBA to other telcos, then you no need to worry about the above anymore.
How do I check in the simba app if my cc details is in the app? Cldnt find it anywhere..

signed up online and paid $10.50 with my cc when i selected the 200gb plan. i will presume the cc details is somewhere in my account but i cldnt find it.
