how soon will the apps update the 5 GB?please send an SMS, 2 to 1218. The app inside also got state.
It's possibility that the app has not updated your entitlements
Just be patience with them while they update their app. You already seen the response as 5GB. Don't get so worried you see 2GB. Log into their Web portal, you should also see 5Gb.how soon will the apps update the 5 GB?

Are you new to roaming? just because one place works doesn't mean other places within the same country will work even on the correct network.Messaging to 1218 worked two days ago so definitely dont need to be on home network.
I cant contact Jio as i am not subscribed to them. Simba has to fix it
best to use Simba app to call when overseas tried few times works well, no need to fiddle around whats working or not on the phoneMy parents are in Japan now. They can use mobile data, but oddly, they can't call back to Singapore.

[Update] Confirmed issue is due to no Voice over LTE on network they're roaming on. They installed SIMBA Voice app, and can call out without issues and extra charges.

can use simba voice to call each other. if volte works, normal call also the same also free. simba voice app is just more convenient. charges is same regardless u use app or phone to callFor SIMBA IDD call...
so let's say if 2 simba users are in country A and decided to call each other directly, not using whatapps..

I do understand that but Simba offered roaming in a country and not in specific places. If you go back to the place that originally work, there is nothing wrong with your simba account or roaming. its how jio configure their network thats not consistent.
Just buy a local sim.

Simba not reliable overseas at all. 7 days without connection. Forget about roaming data, cant even receive OTP from bank or even pin for Simba app. Support takes 1 full day for reply and cant solve the problem.
Simba sim is connected to roaming partner but nothing works. Shame
I activated my eSIM overseas. Just needed the Data roaming. Works. The SMS is indeed wonky. Otherwise I have no complaints.You are the odd one have issues.. Don't give sweeping statement maybe your handset issue or settings on the mobile.. Did you wait 48hrs before travelling ?
