you may need to bring your parents to the service center since NRIC is also required

Then their $10/$12 nobody will sign up hehee
That's when they need a new strategy. Add-ons, as people travel more, they can start earning from excess data charges.

People can top up $5 in wallet travel overseas, use 3.5GB, wallet will have balance left. That's where they trapped your wallet balance, and you have to continue using their services.

But then their data roaming is really fair to us, you use what you used, not the entire 1GB for $4.

i think with eight's price plan and perks, mnvo are trying to match.
first is m1 maxx, now with simba.. more will come
as they lost their current market share, so many need to adjust it to bring them back

Simba plans right now too many, super confusing. I hope they can streamline to plans, to like, Lite, Plus, Pro. Instead of having malaysia roaming, give international roaming as a whole instead.

A $5 and $10 plan will do. Then allow for add-ons, say customers can purchase 10GB international roaming at $5 per month.

In that way, one can subscribe to $5 senior plan and get 3GB roaming. Then on the months, I am travelling for longer holiday, I just purchase a $5 add on, then I get 13GB roaming. For $10, how to find.

The $12 and $18 plans can remove and make $10 plan better.

Let them announce the new plans (if any) and see how.

Really cut throat business. Such a small country but so many players.

Lets discus on simba thread if related to simba :)
  • Spectrum allocation: SIMBA Telecom supports the IMDA's allocation of the lower 500MHz of the 6GHz band for license-exempt RLAN use.

  • SIMBA SuperRoam Plan: SIMBA customers can get full unthrottled 4G speeds when using a 4G-ready smartphone that supports LTE Band 40 - 2300MHz and/or Band 8 - 900MHz.
Agree.

Simba 4G :
B40 2300MHz - 40MHz - This is the bulk of Simba's 4G spectrum, if you can't make use of this band, your Simba experience will absolutely suck.
B8 900MHz - 10MHz - This is the most important band in SG to ensure coverage, as it penetrates buildings and covers open space better. No other telco has more than 10MHz in this band.
B38 2600MHz - 10MHz

Simba 5G :
n1 2100MHz - 10MHz - M1/Starhub 5G 15MHz, 3G 5MHz each. Singtel has 25MHz shared between 5G & 3G.
n78 3500MHz - 0MHz - Singtel 5G has 100MHz in n78, M1/Starhub 5G has 100MHz.
This is the reason why Simba 5G is totally outclassed by the traffic light telcos in 5G.

The lower 500MHz of 6GHz is wifi 6E, not related to this discussion.

she using a old phone, samsung a6, to make calls and listen music

I also tried on another old phone, xiaomi redmi 5a, and encounter the same issue

tried simba voice app but seem like only works when calling out, unable to receive call.

thanks for the update. seems like no change to this aspect of the app functionality, since the TPG trial days.
