Partially it is Simba fault, but also partially the handset fault.

Because somehow Simba is not recognised when your handset perform a carrier check. That is why VOLTE don't work. For the 3 other Telco (and all other MVNO leasing the network from the 3 Telco), the carrier check will have no problem. As such, this is why all other Telco VOLTE works automatically. For Simba, you have to disable VOLTE carrier check in your phone.

Google different phone have different ways to do that. You have to Google it for your handset.

It is not recognised because the phone APN database does not have Simba in the list.

The other Telcos have been selling phones, it is easy for them to request the manufacturers to include them in the APN list.

Ya I also received. But I checked the SIMBA app. Only roaming data increased. Local data is still 100gb.

Text SIMBA to 1218 for detailed check on account. Just like you, my app doesn't show the increases but the various increases are shown on the account via SMS. Also got 100 mins of IDD. Is this also roaming IDD? Or only local IDD?

Hmm I just intiated porting out last night to Eight and they increase the data. Haha

Less int roaming 1gb vs 2gb after upgrsde. But no need to tahan about Simba poor network coverage and it's only $8. Every month save a cup of ice coffee

Yah, but SMS 1218 is most accurate. It does show 200GB.

i signed up a few days before they stopped the promo. The last day of the promo was 1 Sep 2024. 2 Sep onwards no more $0 plan.

So i got 3 months free till end Nov. Maybe by then, i'll continue $8 plan or switch back to simbarella camp

simbareallas here are humble. Stay low, upgrade all Simbas with more perks. Slowly emerging as future king.
Without simba, there is no existence of all these MVNOs and such low price of $8 or $7.90/mth plans.

Correct. Without simba, we'd all be still paying a lot for 5GB and 100min of talk time, not forgetting callerID.

And those that posts in that thread, I've never seen those nicks before. Wonder where they came from.

My experience with Simba is not good too. Many emergency calls as compared to Giga. That's why switching to Eight which is also Starhub like Giga

each has it's pros and cons . Simba can be weak at some buildings, outdoor coverage isn't an issue. Download speed isn't blazing fast, but acceptable for normal web surfing.

Starhub eight coverage is definitely better than simba, but upload speed for eight is dismal. Got very fed up of eight upload speed and port my main line to zym.
