I don't think I need 5G until around 2023 or beyond.

4G is already very fast for me as I use my handphone mainly for browsing, WhatsApp and emailing.

More data at low cost is better than faster speed at high cost in my case.

3G is good enough for you.

Kenna makan by stupid TPG website online topup. Tried to topup $10 for my dad's senior line but after i key in bank otp and got redirected back to the TPG page, a message popped up saying "Error occurred during top up and was not successful. Contact customer service." Checked my bank statement and the amount was successfully deducted. Will be pointless for me to try and contact TPG customer service since its non-existent and the only recourse it seems is to file for bank chargeback. Lucky i didn't topup a large amount but its incredible how TPG's system are still bugged by one problem or another after all this time and yet they have next to zero online customer service presence.

My TPG line in iPhone 7 went off when the train reached Redhill station. It's still out when I reached Bugis station, so I went up to the street level to reply a text. It continued to work when I went back to the station entrance area, and I could surf, text, and call.

Learned something new that day. :)

Using Android, for Postpaid, TPG will try to deduct from your assigned credit card 1st n if failed, will deduct from yr Account Balance using TPG SG app to top up.

Not sure if U can use TPG SG app to top up min $10 via your account balance recharge n deduct for yr Prepaid. Check with CS 1st.

Tested on CCL between Botanic Gardens and Buona Vista, no service inside tunnel.
Tested on NSL between Braddell and Newton, also no service inside tunnel.

Spill over signal from between Kallang and right before Bugis probably (there's service in that stretch on TPG iirc).

TPG SG App is only for 50GB SIM Only, 80GB SIM Only, Senior Go Digital and Mobile Access for Seniors plans I think.
50GB Prepaid must use the Prepaid portal to topup or manually do so at TPG Authorized Shops. Not sure about topping up via third party.

There is still no signal in NS line and EW line as of today. Only free Wi-Fi can be used at these underground stations. Generally, basement signal can be unreliable. Hence, for those taking MRT or work at basement, please beware.
