Thanks, but i may be wrong, it seems from Apple website that the recent launched iPads no longer comes with physical SIM card even for those purchased in China. This is supposed to be a birthday gift for my relative, so I just want to make sure that it works nicely with the SIM card.
Yup, latest local iPads no more physical SIM slot.
in that case best to verify with Apple sales staff on your original query. I have changed Apple IDs on my iPhone several times but maintained the same SIM card without any interruption to mobile services.

Thanks all for your insights. I have clarified with SIMBA and they shared that the QR code can be used on the same device. So i guess I should be fine.

Thank you for your message.

You can still use the same QR code to activate your eSIM, as long as you scan it on the original device where it was initially installed.

Additionally, please ensure that you first connect to the SIMBA network locally before traveling, in order to successfully connect to our roaming partners.

If you require any additional support, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Kind regards,

Noticed TT haven't been working since 2024 when I was there, even for subsequent trips.
Not specfic to providers it seems, since I used SIMBA, Eight, CMLink, CUniq etc. to roam too.

Others that have experienced please do share too!
I would recommend getting those paid vpn to bypass the firewall! Free ones works sometimes for whatsapp but not for TT

If on roaming, it doesn't require VPN previously.
Now even on roaming TT is actively blocked, wouldn't get access.

Will try VPN when i am over there again.
TT is highly regulated compared to other apps. The fun part is in HK airport, i don't need VPN to access TT. :ROFLMAO:

TT is banned in HK. I wonder if when roaming, the telco routes your traffic to HK first before it enters the Internet. Can you check your IP address when you are roaming and cannot access TT?

That will only be possible when I am back there soon.
Hopefully I will remember since going to be pretty packed trip.

as discussed in Simba M1 merger thread, both will allow customers to use all the spectrums. M1 customers can use simba band 40, while simba customers can use M1 all spectrum. More discussions over there
Does that mean that time circles life $3.30 plan is a no brainer to get?

for senior plan $5

I topup the wallet to $5 (use voucher and coin) and just let the telco auto deduct on the expiry date right ?????

No specific experience on the senior plan, but that is how it works for the other plans.

Simba deducts on day 26 of the cycle, not on expiry date. If it fails, you will get a SMS on day 27.
From day 26 to 30 plan is freeze & you cannot change plan (not an issue if you are staying on Senior plan)
This is my biggest qualm about Simba, but might not be an issue for others.

Wondering if this is open for subscription as I seem not able to find it on their website.
