yes, u will get the sim card on the spot. if nothing goes wrong, the line should be active the next work day.
Simba new line from retailer takes so long? Maxx new line is almost immediate activation.

Have not tried getting Simba new line from retailer so far, only subscribed online and pickup from service centre, with almost immediate activation. Not senior plan, though.

Thanks Bro but wah, need to wait till next day ah? 😑🙄
I'd suggest doing it online then pick up the SIM card from one of the service centres.

I've done that and it's almost instant activation. Even when I got eSIM replaced at service centres.

Hi there, May i ask if i go to a shop to subscribe to Senior plan, do they issue the sim card on the spot and how long does it take for the sim card/number to be activated ?
Ported in at a service centre, sim card is issued on the spot, temp number is activated almost immediately, but the port did take like 2-3 days.

Haven't really heard of any difficulty in doing so, but one thing about Simba's change of plan is that it happens immediately for both upgrade and downgrade, and you lost whatever days left for the existing plan.

The existing plan must be in day 1-25 of the billing cycle, on day 26-30 you cannot change plan.
And if your plan expired, you cannot simply activate a new plan, you must top up to reactivate the existing plan (which is backdated to the previous expiry date) before you can change to a different plan.

That said, their Wifi Calling is more reliable than any other MVNO I have tried.
And I have been very satisfied with the roaming so far.
While the performance is not great, it has been pretty reliable for me.

Simba will give temp # first, so if one choose a number, probably will get it activated almost immediately.

Hmm... is it so enticing to warrant a merger for such promise? What about after 2 yrs? Also, $10 & $12 plans are no big deals compared to existing competitors' $7-$8 plan! Hope the merger will be rejected and the price war continues... 😂
2 years later all Christmas parties will be over. Then we'll join Harry Potter. :s13:

Yea 2 years is too short. 20 years will be much more convincing

I recently registered a new Simba random number, SuperRoam 12 - POSTPAID. I’m wondering if I can request to terminate the account after completing this cycle. I intend to use it for 30 days to try out the Simba line. However, I’ve read that there’s a $30 activation fee if I terminate or port out the account within 30 days. Since I want to terminate the account on the 30th day and avoid paying for the second month, I’m looking for the best way to do so.

Simba don't send you bills for the next billing period. If you have main balance it will try to deduct that, otherwise the plan is suspended and you need to top up to continue. If you don't want to continue, simply don't top up, and perhaps let them know you want to terminate which is no charge since you completed 30 days. It only becomes a problem if you want to port out.

I don’t have any plans to port out. Does that mean I can simply stop topping up and leave the account there? Does that mean I don’t need to pay for the second cycle to terminate the account? Also, do I still need to inform Simba to terminate the account?

  • We will process your request within 7 business days. In exceptional cases requiring more than 7 business days, you will be informed about the extended period and reasons for it. All payments made and credits in SIMBA Wallet are non-refundable or exchangeable for cash.
  • No Charges will be administered for the next cycle if the termination request is submitted at least 7 business days before the renewal of the next cycle.
  • An activation fee of $30 is chargeable for termination or port-out within 30 days of plan activation. Additional fee may apply for SIMBA Lucky Numbers.

You can do just that, but it'll leave a bad record.
The other thing is whether the line is cleanly terminated.
There are some reports of people hitting the 10 line limited but never figure out why, could this be one reason ?
