Didn't get to try Eight 5G nor Maxx.

Simba showed 5G from Buona Vista then LTE while going underground from Redhill. Connection slight hiccup for a few seconds before Tiong Bahru station then back on, onwards all the way into Raffles Place, continued connectivity into Red Line all the way to Yishun. Yes, Yishun.

Anyway, Simba works for me 98% from this year so far, so let's hope all goes well.

Having said that, my primary phone has Simba, with Maxx being the data provider most of the time. Will I switch completely later? Let's see...

sounds better than MAxx / Eight 5G underground MRT

It's the staring incident complaints that's made me use Maxx for data backup. I just switch around as and when it happens, though not often.

but things are speedier now with Singtel 5G after 1 year stuck with hair-pulling speed, no thanks to Eight. I will not be around for this year's eight peeps Christmas party

M1 has mostly worked for me since the MNO launch, so still not too bad for me.

Every comparison on speed I have done, Simba almost always is at the bottom.
On the other hand it has also seldom fail totally when I needed data, less so than both Zym/Z1 & Maxx.

dunno if he is in charge. he just has that loud, obnoxious, overbearing presence, and the other staff all defer to him.

This one a lot information for people to compile the whole list, I could not find. Sometimes got promo alike no code needed and/or with input code promo. One country can have few broadcasters rights. Netflix got people compile list before, anyone can see the website pricing, kind of straight forward, don’t think got what promo code thing. I need to check myself first to confirm the epl pricing. Got country have broadcasting rights to show all epl matches, not in English through I need to check it myself to confirm whether or not.

if simba able to disrupt mobile market with $5 for 400gb sg/my/hk data, why not. If they able to do it, means singtel and starhub have been milking chopping carrots all along. then will force st, sh and mediacorp to slash prices.

1. Indeed SIMBA really disrupted the mobile market.

2. There is one reason why SIMBA did not really disrupt the Fibre Internet service (but did contribute to the lower cost) -- there is a base charge from NLT.

NLT charges --> S$15 per month per user initially.

Reduced to S$13.80 per month per user based on an IMDA file dated 2-March-2020.

Further reduced to S$13.50 from April 2024 onwards as per a DBS article.

3. PayTV is a declining market due to the competition from Streaming Services. Even SingTel, StarHub and Mediacorp are kind of bundling streaming services now with their own services. And now you can ditch Singtel TV Box or StarHub TV Box, just use Singtel Cast or StarHub TV+ app on compatible devices (small screen or large screen). MeWatch typically works on the same devices as well. Same for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, TVB Anywhere+, Viu Premium, WeTV, Youku International version, iQiyi, etc.

I highly doubt that SIMBA will want to get into the PayTV market.

4. I was a long term Singtel TV user, from Feb 2012. But I finally cancelled it in Oct 2024 due to under-use for quite some years.
