i mean the top up promotion when there is promotion, did it cease? previous tech show only broadband promo.
you already mentioned promotion.

promotion is at the discretion of the seller during a window period, it is not perpetual.

can top up abit in restoran for a set meal, can buy a ridiculously priced matcha/coffee for $6, cannot pay $5 sim replacement. Same goes to delivery fee
It doesnt matter where else you spend the $ and apply to your telco expdt. This is because there are other methods to avoid this unnecessary expendt. It is unfair for consumers to incur them, likewsie for caller ID, expensive roaming cost, adm cost, plan downgrade cost, delivery cost, etc. That is why competition is good but guess not for long when Simba-M1 merger approves. 😅

if you are going to use the $5 for someone who needs to survive, then it is considered ridiculous IMHO.

similar to extra adds, but dun know what it does.. actually
https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/world-first-green-fuel-levy-012542076.html

Air passengers departing Singapore will pay a green fuel levy of as much as S$41.60 (US$31.95) from next year as the city-state locks in a key step in its effort to cut the aviation industry’s emissions.

and also future T5 levy. but at least for simba u know what u paid, the above i don't.

sidetrack: thailand has other tourist fee to tag on as well. aware of what the saf levy is about, benefiting corporates.

they say singapore is the most expensive country, but you can still travel without flying, i.e. just cross bridge to the other side and simba works great there

Don't think sending SMS works, not sure why you want to do that, why not whatsapp/telegram/signal ?
Voice call between 2 Simba lines should be free : Caller is free outgoing to SG Mobile. Receiver is Free Roaming.

I wonder about outgoing calls to local numbers of destination though, free IDD minutes doesn't include Taiwan, but I recall making call to local Taiwan numbers with no wallet balance nor IDD pack.

See https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/articles/4487047558681-Does-roaming-cover-calls-and-SMS :

Does roaming cover calls and SMS?

Besides data roaming, SIMBA subscribers can enjoy calls to and from Singapore without any roaming charges.
You won’t longer need to reject incoming calls when you are travelling abroad with SIMBA.

Voice Calls
1. Calls to and from Singapore do not have additional roaming charges.
2. Outgoing calls to any Singapore mobile number is free, while outgoing calls to a Singapore fixed line will be deducted from the plan’s Local Fixed Line Minutes allowance (Please add +65 if you are making calls to Singapore while roaming)
3. Outgoing calls to local numbers of the destination you visit is supported. You can either purchase a SIMBA Super IDD Pack or deduct from SIMBA Wallet based on prevailing IDD rates.

SMS
Incoming SMSs are free. Outgoing SMSs are not supported while roaming.
