they say singapore is the most expensive country, but you can still travel without flying, i.e. just cross bridge to the other side and simba works great there
But after crossing over, you realise Singapore is indeed expensive. 🤣

Anyone has experience of porting out a SIMBA Lucky Number?

I had the number for about 1 year now and thought of porting out but heard there's a penalty before full 24 mths.

How much did you pay for the lucky number initially?

Multiple the amount by 2, divide by 24, then times the number of months left to Month #24.

Got to go to Orchard Central or Kaki Bukit to pay up before you can port out or terminate the line.

hmm, i got lucky number too from Simba.
By this calculations, its not as expensive as i though it would be

Eg, (($28x2) / 24) x 12mths remaining
($56/ 24) x 12 remaining
($2.4) x 12mths remaining
$28.80 ???

Thereabout.

Ya, not expensive. In fact, I think I got the calculation wrong.

You'd have paid half the cost at registration. Means 50% more for the 2 years.

Thus if my memory serves me right this time, you'd have only about $14 to pay.

Inconvenience is having to go to one of those 2 counters.

Make sure they don't terminate the line if you just want to port out. Just say you want to pay up the rest of this lucky number cost, to port out.

Mine was only $10. Seems like it's not a huge amount but going down to the service center is the trouble haha

Ya, I forgot that we'd have already paid half at registration.

Can be troublesome to go down since there're only 2 places. Got to take number and wait if there're other users already waiting too.

I see an upcoming SIMBA Service Centre in Jurong Point, opposite NTUC Fairprice Xtra.

As of now, there is only an authorised dealer and SIM Card collection point in Jurong Point (Bus Interchange area).

nice. At least a better perm site in Jurong Point than a "pasar malam store style" at wall cabinet Boon Lay Bus Interchange. Still it might be operated by bengz

The "Pasar Malam" Shop (61 Jurong West Central 3, Wall Cabinet C, Jurong Point Mall, Singapore 648330) lady is quite efficient though.

Just signed-up for SIMBA S$12 plan. The process is very smooth and the SIM card is ready to use after a few minutes.

The main objective is to test it for the upcoming short trip to China next month. I will compare SIMBA S$12 plan with Eight S$8 plan for the roaming experiences in China.
