everytime i cross the border, i thank simba. made my life so easy and saved my money and effort on getting foreign sim. back here at home, also saved me lotsa of money compared to previously paying so much to M1 for their substandard service.

and all my wallet balance are from 1 for 1 promo. per month fee for each line is just the cost of one pkt of cai png.

support of simba here since tpg days and no regrets.

I have encounter a system glitch on their Change of plan. Error showing when loading payment page showing “failure to generate braintree IU”. By the time I email them also contact them via facebook.
But they keep give me the instructions to follow the step by step guide in FAQ. Every response from them took almost one day. By the time they escalated to their back end to ask me go to accounts and put in new credit card details I am passed the window and I am unable to downgrade my plan. I am quite annoyed by a telco that cannot have a proper helpdesk. The lag time to resolve issue takes days. And now the reply I get is to renew the plane automatically and wait for next month window to downgrade the plan. And what ever new cycle subscription won’t be refunded. So either you wasted a few weeks of subscription or wait till the last few days of the window to change plan. This is quite poor support and interface.
I am using M1 before. Any change of plan can be done and pro-rated and the helpdesk support can help to resolve. Please think twice if you want use simba.
any kind souls got solution to resolve this? I still have balance in my simba. Either I forgo and port out my number or I keep chasing them to downgrade my plan.

Simba's upgrade/downgrade terms is the key reason why I ported out, there are just too much limitation.

Yes you can. I used this free voice roaming feature of SIMBA to call back Singapore number for my recent trip to China.

I also used it to call China numbers (but some China numbers reject IDD calls by default).

My main line is Singtel SIM Only S$15.28 plan which has very high roaming voice call charges.

So-so in South Fujian.

For the SIMBA S$12 plan, it connected to China Telecom 4G. Occasionally I would feel obvious lag when loading HWZ Forum. Same problem for CUniq S$9.9 plan which connected to China Unicom 4G network.

Eight S$8 4G plan connected to China Mobile 4G network and had no such issues. But it has only 2GB China roaming data.

Best is giga data eSIM which connected to China Mobile 5G network.

I used the above four for testing purposes, not that I need all of them.

BTW, my brother is using SingTel Gomo and he was able to connect to China Mobile 5G as well.

China Mobile is the overall best roaming partner network in China.

My friend will be travelling to Maldives soon. It seems like there is not many options for affordable .

simba, eight or maxx doesn't cover Maldives in their global roaming. It cost $15/GB on simba (Group C).

Anyone has other suggestion for maldives roaming? Shopee sim not cheap either

too bad for him, starhub will not be an option as he has top up $120 in his simba account last month during the top up offer.

Why wouldn’t it be an option? I don’t think anyone is suggesting that he port his line.

But I think there’s a better option. Roamify is US$5 for 1GB for 7 days -— or US$6 if valid for 365 days. Another option is 2GB for 15 days for US$7.50. Less 5% using a coupon code. See esimdb.com for these offers.

And it’s the Maldives! The point of visiting the Maldives is to disconnect and relax.

You are right, point of going maldives is to disconnect, but not for him. He said, he is going to the city, don't know for what.

Told him to get local SIM instead, he found out there is a ooredoo tourism sim, US$50 for 100GB data.

thank you

That’s not awful, although it’s not really 100GB. It’s actually 30GB plus 70GB “social data” (restricted to certain sites such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok). (He’s going to the “city” to use…Instagram?🤔) If he can survive with “only” 20GB (data for all purposes) for 30 days he can cut that to US$34 (Airlo with esimdb.com coupon code). And still step off the plane with service. Alternatively, if he wants a real 100GB that’s US$57 (Roamify, with esimdb.com coupon code).
