Can i port prepaid card from SingTel, m1 and starhub over to tpg $10 plan? Retaining the old number?

Any device that still don't work? Have a iPhone 12,Samsung 8 and oppo.
Can port to TPG 50GB Prepaid Plan (also $10/mth), but I'm not sure if the overcharging problem still exist on Prepaid.

I would say you're better off upgrading from the Prepaid number to Postpaid, then port to TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan (postpaid, $10/mth), the overcharging problem is definitely gone alr.

iPhone 12 can use TPG VoLTE.
Idk what's Samsung 8, and Oppo model unclear. But even if the device is not supported on normal voice call, you can use TPG 4G Voice app to make calls.

I think can port from prepaid any Telco to postpaid TPG now

These are the replies

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting TPG Customer Experience.

Please see proper steps on how to port-in a prepaid to postpaid sim

1) Customer needs to go down to TPG Official Dealers offering Prepaid Services
2) Customer needs to bring their ID documents & provide their SIM ICCID (sometimes they may need to call their provider to get their ICCID)
3) Customer will sign-up for prepaid account and port-in his prepaid number
4) Then with Dealers help, the customer will need to do a 50GB SIM Only Plan registration
5) Once the prepaid number is ported over, our system will migrate them automatically to the 50GB Postpaid

Important Things To Note

a) Only 1 time charge of $10
b) All transactions done on the same shop & on the same day
c) If the porting encountered an error, the account will remain on a prepaid plan until we get the porting to be successful

Please note that porting of an existing prepaid mobile number from different telco to TPG 50GB SIM only Plan is only applicable to TPG authorised dealers offering Prepaid Services only. The Mobile Number Porting request is available only for new TPG sign-ups.

Let us know should you require further assistance.

Thank you for your continuous support.

Kind Regards,

Oh, the other other pre-paid port to TPG postpaid is new. I remember asking them 1-2 weeks ago, they say can only pre-paid to TPG pre-paid, then use for a short period change from TPG prepaid to TPG postpaid. I think this new process from pre-paid to pre-paid is new, with the $10 fees?

The email says that can be done at any TPG Dealers that offer prepaid.
https://www.tpgmobile.sg/walk-in
I went to the list and found a nearest outlet.
Messaged to check, they say they don't offer prepaid.

The list or whatever is not updated or their dealers are not clear.

For android new phones, the ICCID cannot be found wef android 10.0
Must use older phones to retrieve. Not sure if the info is what they want.

Also don't know why cannot from prepaid to 80gb sim.
Can upgrade from 50gb to the 80gb plan?

TPG cso advised to contact existing (non-TPG) prepaid telco for ICCID number. Note its a long string of 19 digits. I managed to get my M1 prepaid card ICCID from online chat cso. The cso was asking for my mobile number and last 3 digits NRIC for verification. Actually the cso did mention can self check by going phone setting, but I couldn'f find. Then the cso also say the ICCID should be printed/engraved on the back on the simcard too, but my prepaid simcard is too old and its faded already.

means likely still cannot do prepaid porting.

https://www.tpgmobile.sg/faqs#portin2. Can I port in my existing Prepaid Number to TPG?
You can sign up for TPG 50GB Prepaid plan and port in your existing Prepaid mobile number to TPG, as long as the total number of Prepaid SIM Cards registered with your ID document is within the limit mandated by the authorities. Please ensure that your personal details which you register with TPG match those of your previous provider to port in successfully.

To do a port-in, bring along the following supporting documents with you when you head down to the TPG outlet at Kaki Bukit and Orchard Central to purchase your Prepaid SIM:

  • Your current existing Prepaid Mobile Number
  • ICCID number with the current telco service provider
  • Your original ID document

The dealer I asked says don't have prepaid so can't do.

From the email and on the website.
Is Prepaid Telco => Prepaid TPG => Postpaid TPG.

Look like this is confirmed because it's listed on both their website and confirmed by their CSO.

So have to look for TPG dealers that confirm deal with prepaid to process.
Actually I didn't even know that TPG has prepaid. :o

I wonder from 50gb sim only plan can later change to the 80gb sim only plan which can call overseas for free or not.

Or prepaid to postpaid can jump to 80gb directly. They seem to specify is can only go to 50gb only for some reason. (

3. Can I do a cross port-in to TPG?

Customers can only port in their existing Prepaid mobile number to TPG 50GB SIM only Plan. This function applies to TPG authorised dealers offering Prepaid Services only. You cannot port in your existing Postpaid number to TPG 50GB Prepaid Plan. You also cannot port in your existing corporate BRN mobile numbers to any TPG mobile plans.

I remember TPG billing don't work that way.
https://www.tpgmobile.sg/faqs#billing

2. When will I be billed for my service?

4 days before the end of the 30-day cycle to facilitate the lead time for bank processing. Recurring renewal charges will be deducted from your existing payment method. We will send you a receipt to your email address once your payment is successful.

As an illustration, here is an example of how your billing cycle will look like if you sign up for a TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan.

CaptureFAQ_0.JPG

  • If you sign up for TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan on 1 May 2020, you will be charged $10 upon registration
  • On 5 May 2020, you activate your SIM card. Your first billing cycle will start from 5 May 2020
  • On the 26th day from the Date of Activation (31 May 2020), we will charge you $10 for the next billing cycle
  • However, your next billing cycle starts only 30 days from the Date of Activation, which is June 2020

3. When will my data be reset after I have been successfully billed for my service?

Once your payment is successful, your data will be reset after your 30-day cycle has ended.
