I just switched from Starhub to TPG last month and note that there is no information regarding my usage in TPG's invoice. I emailed them on where to get this information and got an irrelevant reply about excess usage that is not part of the plan will be sent out in another invoice?

Anyway, I do see realtime usage when I log in via their website. However, I need past records. If this is not available to the customer, how am I going to assess if the current plan is really suitable or not. How about when I decide to switch to another telco, how am I going to be able to decide which plan to opt for without information on my usage pattern?

I would really appreciate some advice here. Thanks.

IMHO.
I can check my few months data usage on my Samsung J2 Pro under Setting / Connection / Data Usage / Mobile Data Usage. Never compare against the online portal. IIRC, if you reach limit, they will SMS you.

They have tpg app...
https://www.tpgmobile.sg/sgapp

You can try and install the app. Anyway that all that TPG can offer from the APP.

Many thanks twosix, sadboy and keenklee.

I have checked out the TPG App and the information is pretty limited. The daily usage is only for the last 30 days and there are no numbers attached to the bars, so I don't really know the exact usage.

Although, it currently states I have 100 GB of data remaining (I'm 10 days into my second billing cycle), indicating I haven't used any data, the bars under daily usage show that data has been downloaded.

I've also checked my phone, Sony XA1 plus, and it states that I have used 30 MB since 5 Aug 2021 (start date of my second billing cycle).

Looks like I will have to rely on my phone for usage details. Unfortunately, it keeps records for only 2 billing cycles which includes the current one. So, I will have to remember to record the info every month which is rather inconvenient.

Anyway, I really appreciate your replies!

30MB for 10 days. I suppose you’re a very very light user?

most people can’t even use 50MB or less in a signal day now lol

which telco lets u track usage on a daily basis, and for more than 30 days of historical usage? why do u need to track daily when u have 50gb to 100gb of monthly data? if u have 3gb to 10gb, it's good to micro-manage, but 50gb? u watching netflix at 4k everyday?

so.... i dun understand at all...

I don’t need to track my usage daily but I do need monthly usage.

The TPG App, you pointed out, doesn’t exactly provide that info but they do show daily usage. So, I thought I would have to add up the daily usage myself to arrive at the monthly usage.

If monthly usage is all you need, just check the app or website on the last day of 30 days cycle and you should have the answer. TPG cheapest plan have at least 100GB data in bundle and even using 2GB daily, you should still have plenty remaining end of cycle.... take it easy and relax, the remaining data don't get rolled over. Life is already difficult enough without all these nitty gritty stuffs :grin::grin: so relax la....

Think it's more on knowing your usage.
If you were to jump ship. And the plans have lower data allocation. You need to select which plans work out best.

When I am using SH with the +50GB (Worry-Free Data), all I see is the infinity Sign. I can only see what is my daily usage. Not overall.
Also with the Free Weekend Data, the usage is separated.

Which is why I say monitoring your monthly usage should be fine, that gives us an average usage pattern. Measuring data consumed each day does the same thing but.... anyway each to his own, maybe some just like to micro manage their lives

ERM. No one is looking at Daily Usage.

We were actually looking for ways to monitor Monthly Usage.

Like your Power Bills....

Not sure why you take it as someone is looking for Daily Usage..... I've read the thread, and no one is looking for that.

There you go..... if one has 100GB to start with at the beginning of the month, check the App or website on day 29/30th to see the balance and one would know what one used in 29/30 days 🤔 but anyway.... I shall not discuss this matter anymore, got better things to do

Have anyone encountered any problem like other people cannot get through your line when they called you?
I have received complaints from a few people that they can't get through my line when they called me. It's not every call cannot get through, it is intermittent, some can get through, some cannot. I tried calling myself with another phone and have no problem getting thru.

Personally so far, nobody has ever told me -- can't successfully call me on my TPG line.

What phone do you use for your TPG line?

Do you use a phone that can use VoLTE on TPG -- or do you use the TPG voice app for calls?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sg.tpgmobile.tpg4gvoice
I don't use the TPG voice app, I use a phone that can support VoLTE on TPG:
https://www.tpgmobile.sg/community/topic/74-tpg-volte-supported-devices/
There may be a possibility that if you take MRT, (currently) some underground MRT stations no TPG signal.
So people may not be able to successfully call your TPG line -- during your MRT ride -- through those underground stations.

Thanks! Checking on the last day of each 30-day cycle is another option, in addition to checking my phone.

The only problem is if I forget then the info is gone. For example, since I missed the last day of my first billing cycle, I have no info for that period. I will need to use the info on my phone for that period.

Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for and TPG does not provide a convenient way of getting this info. At least with SH (I was on their SIM Only plan), the monthly usage is in their invoices. So, I just have to look back at past invoices when I am ready to jump ship. With TPG, if I don’t do the monthly data keeping, I won’t have any info to work on. The only consolation is they are cheaper.

I am using iPhone SE(2020) with VoLTE on TPG. I am not in underground when they call me, so its not possible that there is no TPG signal.

ERM... Not possible to have no signal is a very Wide Word.

Even walking through some parts of a building (esp near the elevator shaft area) will have dropped signal or no Data (not 3g/4g/LTE) only shows the signal (calls)....
Not basement. Still can see sunlight.

But could just be me, and I'm not using TPG. On MR (M1)

Even with the so called strongest network can have no signal not only below ground, maybe for a while without you noticing unless you happen to use the phone.

agreed, even using Singtel still the same, eg scanning for QR code before entering a building, get spinning and failed. Not just one place but others as well.

in MRT, especially under tunnel, it usually get spinning when train stop at station, resume when train move a distance.
