Unless he is referring to iPhone, that would be new.they have wifi calling for very long liao. It's a very good feature to have.
Not long ago someone did mention it started working on iPhone.

Sorry, let me correct myself.they have wifi calling for very long liao. It's a very good feature to have.

The pros is it allows you to make clear voice calls with weak or non-existent cellular cover. Meaning those in office with bad simba network can leverage on their office wifi to make the phone call (I'm not referring to WhatsApp calls - an actual phone call)any downside if i were to activate wifi calling?
I can think of one potential downside: turning on Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) may give your mobile carrier a little more information about you and your geolocalized habits.Downside is actually none.
might as well don't own a phone.I can think of one potential downside: turning on Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) may give your mobile carrier a little more information about you and your geolocalized habits.

Connecting to the cell tower already does that, and providing more information at the same time.I can think of one potential downside: turning on Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) may give your mobile carrier a little more information about you and your geolocalized habits.
the tagline sounds so familiar haha !That's why need burner phones ah... haha.

might as well don't own a phone.
Dun turn on your mobile. Once u turn on, there is no privacy.![]()
Here's what I wrote: "...turning on Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) may give your mobile carrier a little more information about you and your geolocalized habits." That's a factual statement. Yes, your mobile carrier gets information when you connect to their cellular towers. Wi-Fi Calling is another source of a little more information.Connecting to the cell tower already does that, and providing more information at the same time.
Best way to avoid that is to be permanently on airplane mode![]()

you need to go SIM settings > Wifi calling > call over wifi.
I'm not sure for oppo as i don't have oppo, definately have
Wifi calling also need phone firmware support.as mentioned other sim card will have the option appear in the setting but not with Simba sim card/ eSIM.
I know where the vowifi setting on Oppo phone is located. I tested with Oppo N6, X8 and X9. all don't have. It may be Oppo specific but also weird why only Simba card have issue?
even I tested with Umobile Malaysia the vowifi option is available on Oppo phone.
