That NSL underground MRT ride is difficult even for Singtel network (even during off-peak time). No need to talk about SIMBA...

I have better lucks with StarHub Prepaid S 5G legacy plan than my Singtel S$15.28 SIM Only plan for NSL. But my Singtel S$15.28 main line is better for EWL underground MRT stations. So I use StarHub Prepaid S plan as the backup for local usage.

MyRepublic 5G plans use StarHub infrastructure, so I tend to think it is a good choice.

Since I do not usually take MRT during peak hours (daily commute to work using public bus), I am not so sure how good MyRepublic 5G plans will be for NSL during peak hours. I tend to believe it will be a difficult one for all networks during peak hours.

Very surprised with the usable speed simba provides in the sengkang east area. Used to be an eight user and it had issues using apps that generate a qr code to pay for a discount in some areas like Rivervale mall. With simba, these issues are no more, atleast not as annoying as using eight.

I remember using simba 2 yrs ago and really cmi. I suppose either there have been upgrades to the infrastructure or too many users ported out of simba

Of course, some areas like outside yishun northpoint near the bus stop, data stops loading. But I don't wait too long for the bus to come so it's not really an issue. I only transport by the bus so I can't say anything about mrt connectivity

Has Simba's coverage at underground MRT lines improved?

The NSEW (old) lines really CMI in between the station when in underground

local sg mobile data = worst signal, either 1 bar or no bar signal.
overseas roaming data = depending on overseas partner provider, signal seems acceptable (e.g. China, Vietnam, HKG, Macau, Indonesia Etc)

They have on display at the booth. Black and white 2 colors. It's those easy slip on walking sneakers with shoe lace. Looks quite good imo. Quite tempted.

The newest entrant runs on less spectrum than the three incumbents and is currently under regulatory investigation, yet it places second on the metric Opensignal’s own US Household Survey 2023 found consumers value most after cost. Of 55,322 respondents, 19 percent named reliability as the deciding factor in choosing a carrier. Only 7 percent named speed.

Depend on the regulatory checks and is Singapore market still profitable, and also whether more spectrum will be given soon to them or give them the rights to share spectrum on their existing 4G ones. If all these cannot be done... then why would they want to stay to be bullied?
