so is there any advantage to changing to new SIM?

feel like delaying it as long as I can.

won't suddenly lose signal one day if never change right?
You should say about disadvantage of changing to new SIM instead.

Sooner of later, you will need to change the sim.

Right now the new sim is able to tap on Simba 5G SA network.

Already gotten the new Sim. And an SMS to activate it. But it brings to a link where need to enter NEW ICCID and Document ID which they say information sent to email.

But nothing is sent to email. Not even in Spam.

They have free WiFi

I've been using these WiFi to login MyNIISe for QR Code scanning when I arrived by bus.
There are 3 WiFi Networks: "Wifi Premium Johor 1, 2 & 3" - all same password but at CIQ Exit from JB, all very weak coverage till non existent - I think similarly for vehicle zones too.

I've been using these WiFi & logging in to MyNIISe is smooth, when arriving by bus.

i notice on the mrt from bishan to dhoby ghaut my simba card always has no internet. anyone else experience this? thinking of switching to myrepiblic instead.

That NSL underground MRT ride is difficult even for Singtel network (even during off-peak time). No need to talk about SIMBA...

I have better lucks with StarHub Prepaid S 5G legacy plan than my Singtel S$15.28 SIM Only plan for NSL. But my Singtel S$15.28 main line is better for EWL underground MRT stations. So I use StarHub Prepaid S plan as the backup for local usage.

MyRepublic 5G plans use StarHub infrastructure, so I tend to think it is a good choice.

Since I do not usually take MRT during peak hours (daily commute to work using public bus), I am not so sure how good MyRepublic 5G plans will be for NSL during peak hours. I tend to believe it will be a difficult one for all networks during peak hours.

Reference: my test results for EWL and NSL. There are more detailed results in the Singtel SIM Only thread and StarHub Prepaid thread.
