Hopefully connectivity and speed can improve when most of the free trial users gave up their lines.....

IMHO.
Then I feel that the quality of their network is very bad.:s13:
Test just done.

Speedtest Singtel / TPG (Mbps) via NewMedia Express

Down - 59.9 vs 2.40
Up - 39.5 vs 2.36

yesterday I did some test while on the way to work and at work, most places 10 to 20mbps, while my M1 network can go beyond 30mbps. Latency also quite high.

There is one exception at Queenstown MRT where I got 4G+ network, tested out and got 80+mbps. Upload speed is pathetic

If I can wake up in the middle of the night and remember, I would try from the same location to see if there are any speed improvement.

When I first tested it, I was surprised that my Singtel 3G was faster !

I put a TPG SIM inside iPad mini 3 with IOS 12.xx it always showing as to update mobile data and SIM was disabled. Need to restart ipad to get back line. Seems IOS does not support TPG yet. I set APN manually but still same...anyone got advice?

I'm still thinking whether to do so or not or just terminate TPG once and for all. I put it inside my tablet so can surf 4G while on the move.

I put my TPG SIM card in my hand phone as a 2nd SIM and use it as a hot-spot for my tablet and laptop when I'm working from cafes. The hand phone needs to have a large battery capacity for this to work well for extended period of time. If not, you can use MiFi router.

You can try my hot-spot method above. The TPG data can be used by the hand phone, tablet and laptop if you occasionally work or surf at cafe.

ic. indeed it will make a good tablet plan for $10 with its 4G speed and amount of data on the go or use as a personal hotspot given the huge battery of a tablet such as iPad.

it worked for me on my ipad mini 3 with latest iOS 12 previously/

Just need to set the APN of TPG for both mobile data and personal hotspot on the ipad mini 3.

Surfing on ipad mini 3 is fast. However, if I tethered from other devices to it, the speed would be a lot slower (can still surf, but just slow speed).

Using it on Huawei Mifi now, I can get full speed and consistent connection. Too bad, the unlimited data at 1Mbps throttled speed will end soon.

From TPG:

TPG will send all free trial subscribers an email notification discussing about the (1) TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan and (2) Reminding them of their free service trial expiry date.

1 month before the expiry of the free trial account, we will send another email, this time inviting customers to renew. If there's no response from the customer, an email reminder will be sent 7 days before the free trial end. Lastly, if there is still no response received, TPG will automatically cancel the free trial account on its expiry date with no fee.

Should you wish to retain your TPG number, you will just need to reply to the email invitation and we'll take care the rest of the migration process for you to our TPG 50GB SIM Only plan.

- Sally

How to renew? I login to my tpg account on mobile. Got nothing on renewal. Anyone successfully renewed? Or must wait for them again?
