So with the superroam plan of $25, it might be better? Since got IDD call in US and can receive smses for OTP purpose etc. But if the network etc is not reliable for TPG there,then might consider the $10 option to hold the line and subscribe another in US

I guess the question also comes down to how often you travel. If travel every month & you need a lot of data, then the $25 plan might make sense. Remember the $10 plan comes with 1GB of roaming as well & it only costs $4 per GB beyond that. So, you need to consume 5GB of roaming data every month before you are saving money with the $25 plan.

If you are going to be there for a year, definitely look at getting a local line lah. It's not just the cost, but i'm sure you are going to need a local phone number that people can call you, or that you can call with.

If I'm not mistaken, the absolute cheapest plan which supports pay-as-you-roam (so you can receive SMS) would be TPG's senior plan (if you qualify) at $5 per month. Otherwise, it's zero1 starter line at $6.90 per month.

I haven't had any real drama with my TPG line whilst in Singapore. But then again, I don't do speed tests & worry if the speed is 20, or 90 or whatever. As long as I can stream my netflix when I want to, surf when I need to without see the buffering, spinning circles or whatever, it really makes no difference to me if it is 1ms faster or not.

As mentioned, it is certainly a little more fiddly to use for roaming based on my limited experience in 2 countries but I'm not too bothered about that since I see the 1GB roaming as a freebie bonus.

Seems like this has disappeared from the plans

Secondly, they used to have a data only plan. Has this disappeared?

Hi can check which state or town are you at? I am considering to port from M1 to TPG for usage in US as well but afraid that the coverage will not be good.
With the recent SIMBA superroam plan, it seems quite good if we can received SMS for our OTP overseas and can have 10gb data roaming per month as well.
But if network is bad. Then might be better off to port to a cheaper plan and get another sim from mobile provider there.

I was in NY. There will be no problem with coverage as TPG network partners are AT&T and T-Mobile which are the same as those overseas prepaid SIM cards anyway (in fact if it works properly, it should be able to choose between both which is even better).

TPG 4G Voice App does not work in Orange France roaming mode, which includes the USA if I'm not wrong.

Does this work with wifi in Orange France countries?

No, unfortunately not. The TPG 4G Voice App will not start if you are roaming in these (Orange) countries and also if you deactivate your TPG SIM card. Error message: "This application is not supported by your network"
The only way you get it to work is when you have no reception in your roaming country, ie. you are in a basement and your mobile cannot connect to the roaming network but you do have wifi in the basement. Then you can start the TPG 4G Voice App and make calls.

Overseas u will need to use the app to call.

i applied for a giga sim then after 1 week port over to giga,

then recently found that about midnight there will be a message saying that it send a sms out asking me to accept or cancel, it has been going on for past few nights,

anyone encounter same problem or something similiar ?

• f you are overseas and making a call to a landline in Singapore, the deduction will be made from your fixed line minutes.
• If you are overseas and making a call to a mobile line in Singapore, there will be no deduction. The service is free of charge.

does it apply to all TPG plans or only just to : SIM Only Plan 80GB and SIMBA SuperRoam Plan???

I recently ported a couple of lines over, SIM cards delivered to letterbox. Not senior plan, though.
