Anyone on TPG SIMBA experiences that your phone will show "No Service" quite randomly?

I tried both both options under Network Selection also encountered "No Service" randomly.
  1. Automatic
  2. Select SIMBA manually

For me, it appeared for a few minutes and did not resolve by itself sometimes until I restart my phone.

I used another SIM on the same phone but did not encounter this issue, only with TPG SIMBA SIM.

Simba signal autooff issue originally happened when I'm still using Mi Max 3. And now on my other phone. Not sure if really the SIM card having this issue. I think I will try to get a new SIM when I'm free

This shouldn’t happen everyday, only during maintenance. Just toggle airplane mood and this will likely fix the issue.

Do you mean their maintenance is in the middle of the day since I encountered in the middle of the day on both weekdays and weekend?

When does your prepaid plan 30-day cycle end and when did you renew?
Did you check if the Account Balance shows as $10 or $0.

For prepaid plan, the billing is 10 days before your 30-day cycle ends. If you renew less than 10 days from your 30-day cycle end date, it will be unsuccessfully. You have to go down to their Service Centres to renew manually if you wish to retain the number.

Hi my prepaid plan by right should end around 1 June.

Then lapse till today, then i go to the app to renew.

So means my 10$ got eaten? Cannot get back? Why they still allow me to renew?

My account balance show $0, but my credit card payment went through.

has anyone been crazy enough to switch to TPG as their main line? how's the experience and coverage like? any blind spots like at basement in shopping malls?

u use wifi?
I tried both wifi and another sim card. Both scenario I'm still able to make and receive call on the number that I register my TPG 4G voice app with.

I've been using TPG as my main line for about 2 months. Reception no issue even at my office at Tuas South. Speed wise might be slower than the other 3 main telcos but still very usable as long as you are not fixated about those speed test.

This is what I always tell people when choosing TPG. For $10, honestly there is not much to complain already. If I must really nitpick, is the 30 SMS. Yes, once a blue moon I may still need to mass send SMS to recipients who do not use whatsapp/line

Your $10 should still be there. You tried to SMS <TPG> to 1218 to check your account balance.

According to TPG SIMBA staff, the prepaid plan renewal/recharge is just top up your account balance and TPG SIMBA will deduct the amount from your account balance 10 days before your 30-day cycle end date (only one time). If your account balance does not have sufficient money during deduction, TPG SIMBA will disconnect your SIM after X number of days after the 30-day cycle end date. You will have to go down to one of their Service Centres to re-activate manually if you wish to retain the number.

Mind you, the TPG 4G Voice App will not open if it cannot find a TPG/Simba SIM Card inserted in the mobile handset. Even if you put it in, install the App and then take the SIM card out it will stop working.
I hope SIMBA will upgrade the TPG 4G Voice App soon to allow Voice Calls in all roaming countries and maybe also when you have wireless network. And supporting unrestricted global WLAN Call would be a nice feature too...

why you need the app?

phone not VOLTE?

Does it mean it's better to subscribe to the post paid plan, since amount is the same and we don't need to worry if we forget to pay before the 10 days?
