Anyone know how to rectify?
I just port over to SIMBA yesterday. But the network signal is consistently at 1 bar LTE. I can’t even load a webpage properly when outdoor.
I am using iPhone XS MAX and have done the APN setting to TPG and leave blank for the rest.
Pls any kind soul.
Where are you located? Can kindly share so that people living in same zone can avoid getting tpg

Signal weaker than west coast industrial area 2 bar

I am now in Portugal. Roaming works seamlessly and I can even detect 5G signal on my phone. And incoming and outgoing calls to Singapore is free via Simba voice app, as long as you are connected to mobile data or WiFi. I can even call to Malaysia using my free IDD minutes. I'm using SIMBA super roam $25 plan.
I thought according to https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/a...or-receive-calls-over-the-SIMBA-4G-Voice-App- , the app only supported in 7 destinations, excluding Portugal leh….

if that is so, meaning, the app could possible be support in all or in most of the 57 roaming destinations huh? 🤔

Check website login if there is credit card or giro link. If no link and no credit they cannot charge anything but also risky to lose number if you forget to pay invoice on time.

Just to update (by user)
Simba SuperRoam not working at Heathrow/London.
Tried connecting to EE and Vodafone UK - "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"

Did he/she follow the instructions required, like plugging in the SIM for at least 48h in Singapore, check if roaming works, etc?

Recently the number of spam calls and msg spiked up again.
This is regardless of the carrier; I received it on my ZYM (SingTel), CL (M1), and SIMBA lines.

I even have some loan shark calling my phone (using a legit non-+65 number) asking me if want to borrow money lol
I got a call from one too on my Simba line.
Number leaked. They do know your name and address.

- hint: try asking where to meet. They will give an address near your blk.
There are two possible way how they got our numbers.

Firstly is that the number is recycled and the spammers have been spamming all along.

Secondly, I noticed that the Simba staff issuing my SIM card wrote down my numbers and some other details on his paper List. This was just on the counter, anyone could just secretly take a quick photo on his phone and steal every new number on that list.

I'm flying to Sarawak (East Malaysia) this weekend for a short 3 days.

Let me see how good is the SIMBA international roaming over that Borneo Island!

Roaming is always dependent on the partner operator. ;) Coverage is dependent on their deployments.TPG's malaysian partner is Celcom, and Celcom in East Malaysia isn't great - they announced in May 2022 that they plan to improve their 4G coverage. I'm not expecting coverage to be fantastic, but it could be okay - depending on where you are.

If they screw up, the only thing you can blame your telco for is choosing a poor partner.

To be fair, SIMBA used to partner with Yes, and that was unusable. Celcom is already much better, but it's not Maxis or Digi.

Anyway,

SIMBA network is really CMI around Kiong Siak Street, Oriental Plaza that Chinatown area. Damn slow or totally doesn't move at all even the signal shows 4G+. Hopeless indeed at that area/spot!

I heard that Digi is very strong in East Malaysia.

Let's see how it goes and I will report back.

I didn't even experience poor network and slow speed in Chinatown area, and I am frequently there.
Ghost month's dead spot I guess! :giggle: Too may "good bros and siss" gathered at that spot using SIMBA mobile network at the time I was there may be...Network jammed...:p
