On M1, my Huawei phones supports VoWifi, but not on Simba. Any special codes to enable it like on Xiaomi ?

BTW, VoWIFI works on my Xiaomi using Simba

I am having issue with my sim card now. Just arrived in Vietnam yesterday but unable to connect to local network. Now my phone is showing 'No SIM', am using iPhone 12. Anyone faced the same issue before and how to solve it?
Is TPG overseas roaming really good?

So far, I have been to Malaysia and the roaming in Malaysia is quite good!

No idea about other countries.

Hello everyone, just putting out my experience below for reference if you're facing similar issues with no service while roaming. For reference, I'm on iOS 15.6.1 and I'm in the USA.

(Bkgrd: Ensure that you have your SIM activated for roaming with >48 hours of the SIM inside your phone. Double check your roaming status before you fly by sending a SMS to 1218 with "SIMBA", then reply accordingly with the option to check your roam readiness.)

My phone was unable to receive any cell signal upon landing in LAX, despite it working well without any action from my part when I was stopping over in Narita. Tried all the tricks that SIMBA recommended but nothing worked for more than a day.

What finally worked for me:
1. go to General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset
2. choose Reset Network Settings
3. BINGO. Network is detected!

Do note that this effectively erases all your previous network settings (including all your Wifi passwords) so, proceed with caution.

Hopes this helps someone :spin:

My parents would like to switch to SIMBA $5/month for seniors. Will they be able to make calls while in Malaysia?

Can make. if call back to singapore numbers, it is charged within the call minutes per month. otherwise, prevailing idd charges apply.

Quite iffy apparently. Had no issues for me (my device was VoLTE supported), but some others had to use the Simba 4G Voice app for it to work. Either way everyone had no issues, just some needed the app to work

Just to share my experience;

I went to Philippines (July) and Malaysia (Aug), recently, during my trip, I carried two phones, Phone A is with TPG Sim card plus local sim inserted. the other (Phone B) has no sim card, when arrived I switch on both phones.
When make call back to Singapore, I used Phone B with Simba App to prevent accidently activate local roaming call if I use Phone A. So far everything okay, all call to Singapore is just as local call in Singapore at no extra cost. Any call to Other countries (via phone B) will be just as making local IDD call. Phone B is wifi on all the time linked to any wifi available.

For the Phone A, i received all SMS and free data roaming (1G in Manila) and (3G in Malaysia.)

Quality of voice call is excellent in both countries..

BTW, 5G coverage in Philippine is excellent, a local 5G sim (Globe) for 30G is only 400 peso. so far I have not found any blind spot of 5G in whole Manila, Quezon, Valenzuela city et.. Whatsapp call via local 5G is very clear, no lag at all.

TPG sim can only up to LTE 4G+.

Just notice that for post-paid plans now, they straight deduct your CC and no longer deduct from topup amount 1st. Similar case for anyone here as well?
