Oh!, I thought the poster was referring to local reception.
Oh no lah. SG's side generally pleased with SIMBA, other than the slow speed at my home. Haha. But don't affect much since at home is use WiFi.

Thanks for your pointers which may be useful in my decision whether to port over to Simba.
but at home not so bad since got Wifi? I remember getting decent speed at shopping malls. 80+Mbps download.
Definitely not anywhere near 5G fast, but practical usage can't really feel.

Not often but it happens. Most of the time cross causeway will immediately connect to roaming partners, but some times inside JB 30 minutes already still no reception. 1 in 10 times like that I would say.

Ya I thought so too.
Thanks for the clarification.
If it turns out to be 1 in 10 times then I would say it is acceptable, no telcos are perfect anyway.

I agree that if reception failure happens in foreign land, then the onus is on that foreign country.

That's great to know, somehow my decision now is directing me on the path to Simba. TQ :D

Anyone know why my TPG can't auto roam in my?

It can't even find their network when I step in to jb . I try going to my account but didn't see any setting that I can enable it

Might want to check if it's roaming ready first before you set off. Can check via SMS one, can't remember the details though, need to Google.

Are you on XiaoMi or POCO? Don't forget to enable data roaming, it's disabled by default. I had issues with daily data roaming limit, even though haven't hit also cut off data, so just disable the whole thing for good.

Torn between 2 choices.
This plan package or ....

I went to SuperRoam Max as I have other countries to go. The SuperRoam 50GB (30D/90D) doesn't work for me as the countries available for roaming are too limited.

Some mobile plan changes are allowed / supported by SIMBA -- but not all possible cases.

There could be people who have already changed their SIMBA mobile plan; but their cases may not be applicable to you -- because the SIMBA plan you're currently using & the plan you intend to change to could be different from others.

See the following SIMBA Web page to know which mobile plan changes are currently allowed / supported:

Ya! If you do travel to other countries. SuperRoam Max is the choice even it's just 10GB. We usually don't use so much data overseas!

SuperRoam Max at $25 has a 10GB data roaming for 57 countries. Just $5 more than SuperRoam 50 for 30 days.

SuperRoam 50GB is a little bit overkilled for traveling in Malaysia if you don't travel often and don't need to use a lot of data while travelling in Malaysia and it costs $20 per 30 days. Not that "cheap" in the sense that if compared to $25 of SuperRoam Max that covers 57 countries, IMHO!

Travelling in Malaysia, Well! Many people already had a Malaysia sim card likes Hotlink, Digi, Onexox with a lot of data to use in that matter! 😙

Practicalities is the main consideration!

You are correct, the SR50GB limits to 6 countries whereas SR Max covers more destinations internationally.
