I had no issue with any OTP, be it grab for example.. Messaging or calls, never had issue as well.
I can say for general functions like calls, data, sms OTP, it is reliable from my experiences.
Thank you bro.. I will change my wife from suckhub to this…

Np. Sometimes location play important part also. If the performance is not up to expectation, just port it out after one month. @kelvinti can advise you because he is a our Harry "Porter".. :ROFLMAO:

Not "IMHO" ?
Ya, can also say that. I am quite please with Simba for the free roaming data, free caller ID, free private number, free outgoing to mobile number, free in/out calls while I am in Malaysia etc for $10 flat (GST included)..
Previously was using 2 phones as my main is an iPhone. Now, I just need to use one phone as recently signed up additional one more line which is the $20 super roam 50 the day when simba announce esim is available. My friend also converted his from physical sim to esim.

Just would like to share about Simba roaming... My own personal experience; not hear say.

I had used Simba roaming in JB. Fast and good. As far as I know, there had been very few, or close to none, reported problem of roaming in Malaysia.

Just came back from a one-month trip to Hong Kong. Before that i read loads of conflicting feedback. I even personally helped two SG friends troubleshoot Simba roaming in HK. One used iphone while the other a Samsung (don't know what model). Both had roamed in different parts of Malaysia using same phones before going HK. All no problem. But in HK, both can't even get any connection.

So while I am on CMLink, I brought a Simba sim for fun for my HK trip.

First day whole day i have tried to connect (manually) but no telco can connect. Disappointed. Was about to give up. Second day, it miraculously managed to connect to the CMHK 4G. Note that my CMLink was also connecting to the same CMHK 4G network; interesting. So I happily started using Simba roaming in HK!!! Also told my 2 friends: see I can roam; it's proven that it's your (phone) problem.

However, next day I started to realize some apps seemed to be not running well, namely, WeChat, HKemobility, Myobservatory, CityMapper, 中原地圖, 八達通 ... But the data seems to be transmitting!!!! Tested the data upload/download speed, the speed was like 0.001... the network was still on CMHK 4G. Then I switched the data connection to my CMLink. Interestingly, all these apps were working and the network was the same CMHK 4G!!!!!!!

Though the Simba roaming connection was there (4-5 bars) but the speed was just too slow to be useful.

Interestingly in another forum, somebody was saying he had no problem with roaming in HK and he could run some of the apps I mentioned earlier.

Hence the observation/conclusion is, the roaming in HK seems to be highly phone dependent. The result could range from no connection at all, to slow unusable data speed, to no problem. In short, it's unreliable and not dependable.

Similar results were seen in Sydney and Melbourne.

Therefore, i will not use Simba as the main line, especially when traveling. Even it works in one country, it doesn't mean it will work in the others. Imagine what will happen when your main line was completely off (meaning, no phone call, no sms, no otp) for those days when you are overseas? The worst part is, you won't know whether it's going to work until you get there; you can't pre-test anything.

Other telcos or mvno are not that picky on specific phones. So, good luck.

If getting a network connection is critical overseas like on a business trip, always get a local sim or roaming plan from our main telcos. I believe all these cheap/free roaming bundles are the lowest of the lowest priority when it comes to foreign telcos. Possibly even behind all their mvno and prepaid lines.

For those who asked me what phone I was using, that's exactly the point. Why would you put your livelihood onto the phone brand/model while no other telcos including mvno are like that?

If Simba roaming is so much phone dependent, what if phone A works in country A, phone B for country B and phone C for country C, etc., then how? What if your phone broke down when overseas for whatever reasons and need to buy a replacement phone then how?

Buying a local sim overseas just resolves the data capability only. If your main line is with Simba and there's no connection at all when traveling, you'll have no voice calls, sms, otp, etc. These days there are 2-level, 3-level authentications that unavoidably need sms to your registered (main) line, then how?

Don't laugh ... I had a friend who went Melbourne 2 months ago and his main line was with Simba. His phone had no connection at all. Of course he bought a local sim for data but he can't do any authentication at all. When back to Singapore, within 2 hours he immediately went to port out the line. That showed how frustrated he was. But before this he was an advocate of Simba because he played golf in JB weekly!!!!!

IMHO.
That is why my main line is Singtel XO (old plan). ;)
I will look at it again to see how it pans out after 3G is removed. 🤣

Roaming to nearby countries should be safe and it is an advantage of SIMBA. 1GB can let you do many things for few days except video streaming. I even got 5G roaming connection in JB last month . But, there is always a but...

Login to the Simba App. If show SIM-Only, then should be postpaid.

Actually I also want to find out if the below is correct.
Important question is whether if Simba postpaid and prepaid can port out or not.

Postpaid
Sim-Only 100GB
Sim-Only 130GB

Prepaid
SuperRoam MY
SuperRoam 50GB (30D)
SuperRoam 50GB (90D)
Seniors
SuperRoam Max
Prepaid

Postpaid definitely can port out, many of us here have tried and ported out shortly after. ;)
