That's right. I dunno why people want highest speed, 5G etc when normal speed is more than enough. Why pay $30 for 30mbps when a $10 10mbps is more than enough for everyday use and YouTube on the go.

Mine is $11 for 50gb 4g singtel mvno atm

What mobile apps or mobile usages that need a speed of 260mbps all the time or constantly in our daily life?

Isn't that a speed of 5mbps is quite sufficient enough in most scenario and usages?

IMHO.
It is very challenging for me to buy things from Amazon.SG online if the download speed is slow. Especially coupled with slow upload.

Try comparing Heya and Simba. If speed is a concern, I would say that Heya has a better performance

IMHO.
On Netflix. Heya.SG one can keep forward / reverse like nobody business quite acceptably.

I am not too sure. I think on the safe side, why not just download the app if calling thru the phone app is not working?

App so long you have internet you can call good for overseas use too ... Locally you can just call thru your phone using volte

Downloading of prawn...

Prawns are imported from overseas and need to go through some checkpoints. So confirmed to be slow. You want fast and fresh prawn you just need One G. No need 5G.

I don't mind even a 80% drop or somgthing, but 5mbps is a bit too much. I'd at least need to be able view 1080 youtube videos, so far it's not possible without lagging.
Will monitor awhile, if it doesn't improve I'll switch.

5mbps is more than enough for 1080p youtube. i just tested

even if you have 1gbps, youtube doesnt load the whole video, only a few seconds ahead to save bandwidth

dont worry. no need cross fingerd. the voice app works perfectly on wifi or data roaming to make and receive local calls when you are overseas.

Don't rely on simba in japan.

Tried simba in japan in early March, connected at airport and used about 130MB.
Then unable to connect again. I topped up about 30 bucks for roaming usage but in the end unable to use for data.

Airplane mode on and off. Saw that I am connected to a local telco then disconnect me again, as in no reception no bar. So the days roaming only worked for 1 or 2 hours at airport then never again for the rest of my trip.

Check out their Facebook, got other people complain as well.

Bought a local sim in the end.

Msia no issue though.

What's your phone model and which part of japan?

Could be helpful if you can share more details.

I think someone mentioned need to turnon volte.

For my case I suspected was actually my samsung A7 only support 2 out of 6 bands that KDDI use. Swapped sim into xm note 10, support all 6 bands, no problems with reception at kyoto osaka kobe

Initially thought use my xm note 10 for only photo taking to save battery, use Samsung for navigation.

My mum redmi note 9T on senior plan, no problems with reception from airport to ulu shrine hill
