This I have no clue. You can try and see? ;)

I'm not sure if MVNOs can set up their own USSD Gateways, but in theory they could. Whether they have is something else.
Ya.. Will try for sure when i port to Zym soon lol..

Nevertheless, all the USSD code works well on MyRepublic (m1)

Has anyone had 5G from SIMBA / TPG till date? I am struggling to get reception for 4G already, never once felt 5G existed.

To clarify, I am on eSim.

Just ported to simba yesterday. Getting only 3 bars signal out of 5 bars. Is it normal?
Coverage for all telcos is location based. So it may be great for someone but not so good for you.

Perhaps the more important question to ask yourself is, while they are expanding their network, is it good enough for you for the price you are paying? If so, you can stay. If not, port out.

I'm still testing it out. Although it's only 2 - 3 bars but the connection is still good.

3 bars is pretty normal as long as you have a steady and smooth connection and loading of apps. That's all matter!

My observation for SIMBA!

3 bars = 4G max.
4 bars and above = 4G+
5 bars = Happy for my $10 plan! Cannot complain even though the speed is less than half of those SH/M1/ST!

IMHO.
The bars while important, still have to see the throughput.
No point having many bars but 1001 persons vying for access.

It's not so much about 4 bars and above to achieve 4G+. I've had weaker signals but still received LTE+ before (even down to 1 bar once when I was testing with NCI, which was a surprise for me). It does not improve the signal strength, but it does help with bandwidth even at poorer signals/"lower speeds" since it's the effect of multiples.

When you see 4G+, Carrier Aggregation is happening. That just means that you have been assigned more than 1 data block (up to 5 for LTE-A, up to 16 for 5G) so your bandwidth increases. This is how you get "faster speeds".
