I just ported into Simba this sat. My office and home locations are high floor above level 30. Half of the time I m on roaming and half of the time I don't have reception. Even at downtown inside a level 2 food court I can't even get reception. Think I need port out again asap :(
Hmm, simba seems weak there. If no choice, you need to go somewhere. Maybe Zym $10 plan? 100Gb data too

Report it to Simba. So that they can look into it.

Give them some time

MVNO plans are quite affordable now

suggest to try the various MVNOs by first signing a new line, before making a big decision like porting

means can test before porting over

also, consider not putting all your eggs in one basket, e.g. have a 2nd line with another MVNO, when 1 telco reception not great in one area, got another line to try

e.g. my current setup is
main line - circles.life $5 for 50gb
secondary - tpg simba $5 for 20gb [seniors plan]

never in my life would i imagine telco plans becoming so cheap

I have tried a few actually. Vivifi and Zero1 and sadly both have connectivity issues at home so that's y I Thot of giving Simba a try after hearing it has improved. But didn't expect it's still quite bad for high floors. I Thot u need specify to port at PT of sign-up otherwise u won't b able to do so subsequently so that's y I took the plunge...

yes, most MVNOs, have to port at point of signup

my point was, since plans are so affordable now, e.g. $10, can just sign a new line to try

within that month, should test at the regular places one goes to

then if ok, can cancel that new line, and port your main line over separately

between Singtel roaming VS Simba at Malaysia, which one has better coverage & speed?

Sent from A universe Where pink PWNED everything
I think is the roaming partner u connected to. And like Singapore, certain area are good with Telco 1, but bad with Telco 2. Meaning to say depends on area and Telco.

Singtel have maxis, celcom, Digi as its roaming partner.

Simba currently only have celcom and digi
https://en.ocworkbench.com/simba-added-digi-malaysia-as-roaming-partner/
But they recently removed digi.
Not in the latest list.

https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/a...l-partner-network-operator-s-per-destination-
Maybe not removed but merged
"This reason is because Celcom and Digi have merged into celcomdigi. That is probably the reason why subscribers can now roam on either network."

So I think overall Singtel should have better coverage. I am talking about Singtel Telco itself and not mvno provider like gomo as they probably have different roaming partner.

But I tried Simba roaming in Malaysia. Coverage is good. That time I went in, my wife was using gomo roaming. Simba seems better in coverage. Slow but still available compare to gomo, totally offline.

Good about Simba is celcom support volte and u can call back Singapore +65 mobile number for free or +65 land line (deduct from your free call quota). No idd charges.

Check out Malaysia Telco coverage below.
