My ah girl just reached Bangkok and she said it's very strong on dtac. :) She is very happy as this is the first time she uses SIMBA Roaming data in Thailand. :D No need to buy TrueTone sim card!

15gb for $6.89 DTAC is still the best deal..
I know. But with SIMBA, I can roam anywhere (57 countries) with 1 single SIMBA card.

No need to keep buying travel sim for each country each and everytime.

you are on which plan ?

I am on senior plan 1gb which can only be for emergency use or at $4 per gb... local sim are still more cost effective..

My ah girl is on the $20 SuperRoam 50GB (30days) plan. She travel to overseas quite frequently...So, suits her, suits me!

oh that plan with 10GB regional, if she travels regionally than it's good. But if shes travel internationally, SIMBA SuperRoam $25/mth with 10GB international will work better.

Yes! Agreed. She will change to the $25 if she needs to travel often besides the 6 regionals.

Torn bt Simba and circle Life.
Dk which one is better in terms of coverage

have you use m1 network before? Circles life more or less same with m1 as they ride on m1 network. Personally i have both circles and simba. I find simba performs better than my circles
Yes! Agreed! SIMBA network and coverage are quite stable and good despite its slower speed than others! (y)

I switched to SIMBA on Tuesday & I didn't notice any difference from previously Singtel.

I've Roamed & Roared in JB without issues; even received SMS OTP to top-up my MRT card.

Hope you have a similar experience if you port to SIMBA.

Can you please help list the countries she went and Simba Data roaming is working ..
Most Simba data roaming countries will be working fine. If you are roaming, the data internet is provided by their roaming partner, not Simba. Other countries, also have their blind spots in certain areas like rural areas all these.

Just need to note that you might need to download Simba voice app to make phone calls (in and out if the operator does not support voLTE). [ANDROID] [iOS] Currently, only a few countries support volte and 5G. Please refer to the list here: Operator list 15Jun2023.pdf

Points to note for successful roaming,
1. Install Simba voice app
2. Have your Data Roaming settings turned on
3. Data usage limit on your phone removed
3. Network operators set to Auto. (if can't affixed into a network, change to manual and select the network).

It should work without any issues. Point 3 was raised a few pages ago, some people who experience no data is because their data limit has reached and phone auto cut off data. It's not because of Simba. Same goes to the Point 2 for data roaming settings.

Also if you have signed plans with regional or malaysia data roaming, these plans DO NOT come with international roaming. Hence, if were to go Europe or the americas region, your data internet will not work UNLESS you top up money into your simba wallet. Data is chargeable at $4/GB. Hence, this the another reason why people complain it won't work elsewhere because they never top up money.

Personally, I've roamed with Simba in Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Finland, Indonesia and Malaysia. All worked without issues. Just take note of what plan you subscribed and ensure sufficient funds, the settings on your phone is right. That's all and it should work like a charm seamlessly. Just like how you previously roam with your old telcos before you port into Simba. Cheers

is this list even useful if it didn’t indicate the state/area?
Eventually it will be the same list as what SIMBA is showing for the 57 countries, but certain area are still low or poor connectivity.

New to SIMBA. Anyone know what's the difference between Sim-only 100GB plan and Prepaid 100GB plan?

Saw both are $10/30days with the same features:
100GB data
1GB roaming data (Group A)
Unlimited Calls to Local Mobile
Unlimited SMS to SIMBA Mobile
300 Local Fixed Line Minutes
30 Local SMS
