Yes they do. Everyday. I think sunday also have.

Everyday 11pm cut off, around 1am to 1.30am, port over.

Sorry noob question.
I’m planning to port over from Singtel to SIMBA. As I travel frequently, just like to check if I can still receive SMS when overseas without any additional roaming subscription. Also, does SIMBA port over on the same day as applications, or on the next morning?
Thanks!

no there are no additional roaming charges, once you use finish, simba will stop internet automatically. if you topup the simba wallet then they charge there. $0 in wallet wont get charged. as for the rates you can see the TnC when you sign up.

Yes incoming sms has always been free for all mvnos, prepaid, etc. even while overseas. unless singtel been charging them somehow but i think it is more of data roaming charges even if you didn't use data.

simba only start port over after you ACTIVATED IT. so only after you receive the sim, either via mailbox or at the store then port in will commence. If you do receive from mailbox be sure to activate it first, it should not have any service untill the line is port over. Usually the same day around 11pm. simba does not give temporary number.
Wow sounds really good. Thanks for the in depth reply. Can’t wait to port out from Singtel and its awfully expensive plans.

For Singtel, you pay for what you get. FWIW, the coverage and performance in general still exceeds the other telcos. And if you're an existing customer, you qualify for their SIM only plans. There are regular mentions of $20 offers going around (check the Singtel thread). These only apply to existing customers, not new ones.

Also, some people cite "awfully expensive" plans, but omit mentioning they are plans with contract because they bought a phone. SIMBA's pricing is more in line with SIM only plans.

Calculated before. With the cheap SIM only plan. Not worth to get phone with plan. Tied with them somemore for 24 or 36 month.

Going to be more expensive.

I rather use credit card 0% interest installment.

The only phones worth getting with plans are usually the most premium ones - iPhone Pros, Samsung Z Fold series.

Everything else, probably not worth. Even for the non-Pro iPhone or Samsung S series, the savings are not that great. But for people who want to pay off their phones via unsecured instalments, this is still a fair strategy.

For Samsung phones, because of their aggressive pricing strategies, sometimes they throw in a $300-500 off for contracting, which makes buying Samsung phones with contract really worth it. Or a free upgrade to 512GB, which is typical.

For cheaper phones, even the premium flagship models from other brands like Xiaomi, it is much more worth it to buy street and get SIM-only. For midrange phones, it's a nobrainer.

Anyone here using iPhone 13 can get 5G? It appears that ip13 don’t support the bandwidth SIMBA is using hence I don’t even have the option to on it on my phone
you must update ios. 5G for SIMBA only available after ios 16.4
